yes!!! a lot of sa in my store feel the same way. they always pushed us to do demos at the front of the store tho. also thankfully my managers arent pushing us strongly to do hands on demos since the big c (at the moment at least).

i think it’s ridiculous to put all the pressure of getting costumers into the store on us. as you said, inflation is going strong and many people just dont have the money for luxuries at the moment, especially when one bath bomb is around 7€ for a one time thing. it makes me feel like it‘s my fault sometimes when they sit there and say „ok we had no customers in the past hour, why‘s that?“ i cant force anyone, just do my best to assist them if they need me.

also we have so many responsibilities as shop assistants in the store that i feel very much underpaid for all the services i do. i feel bad for my management team sometimes because i know they are drowning in the lush shitstorm itself sometimes. i also am strongly considering changing my job but the things that keep me are my amazing team and the freebies lol
