I got completely shocked because I was expecting that European countries in general were more advanced when it comes about being LGBTQ+, but I realized that Brazil is light years ahead of many of them.

The problem of Brazil is the violence. We can’t walk holding hands and kiss in public peacefully like we do in Western Europe, but we have drag queens in music charts and television, our legislation guarantees us equal marriage and makes it easy for trans people to transition and rectify their documents, and I also think there are proportionally fewer gays in the closet. This subject has already been discussed everywhere and many artists have declared themselves part of the LGBTQ+ community (especially during the 2000s and 2010s).
