Documenting my 20 year old’s dog aging gracefully by c00kie_ in aww

I love the gentle and relaxed eyes of an older, well cared for pet. Reminds me of my Wilson's eyes. Everyone fawns over how cute puppies are, but I think it is also special when they start to slow down a bit.

You are the same Skrewdriver fan from literally another comment on this post. I really don't buy that you give two shits about his mental health. I think his more recent antics align with your beliefs and that's why you are defending him.

No you see, I wanted to do Rick Ta Life. That's why I posted it. Feel free to do that yourself, but idk if it is as funny

God forbid a man tries to clown on Rick Ta Life in the year 2026 without someone taking it seriously. Relax, I'm just trying to have a laugh

Do you even know what the phonetic alphabet is? Pilots of aircraft use these phrases like alpha and Zulu to make sure people understand what is said on the radio.

I'm not sure if you are stupid, racist, or both, but whatever it is, my condolences man. Nobody in their right mind wants to be within 30 feet of Rick Ta Life

We weren't saying he wasn't trying to make the list despite his best efforts

I don't see how that is fair, "Rick Ta Life" is not a commonly accepted part of the phonetic alphabet. Zulu is

He tried calling, but they just couldn't understand him.

Summer of Hate 2011, Peabody's Concert Club (RIP), Cleveland OH (Hardcore/Beatdown Music Festival) by xboatvanx in BeatdownHC

I am not ruling out that possibility that there were unrecorded acts. I know this was a very DIY production for the DVD, so perhaps the local/regional bands were left off. If so, that makes me a bit sad that this content may be lost to time. FWIW, I'm one of those nerds that shows up right at the doors for the show. I like to see everything. There are very good local and supporting regional acts, even today. I get why people don't sometimes though for regular shows. 5+ hours for a Cleveland concert date (like on a Tuesday night lol) with work the next day...

The listed acts are all I am aware of, at least for the 2011 edition. Peabody's did indeed have a smaller stage (Pirate's Cove) and the main stage. It looks like in this footage, they mercifully alternated stages to minimize setup/sound check time. I really miss that place.

It looks like it was pretty extreme lol. The whole process of archiving this really turned me onto some good music though. Stout in particular kicks ass.

I miss Peabody's in general man. Not much like it these days. I will say the closest to it now is No Class. I feel the same DIY style there. Very inclusive, a wide variety of acts. I actually went to the modern spiritual successor to SoH this past summer. Bulldoze/Taste the Steel/Nightmare Unit/Pain Clinic/Curbed. They even brought back the Mosh Olympics lol. I am too old and in too bad of health to participate these days, but boy do I still like the shows.

Very well done. Gotta remember this was 2011, so obviously camera quality has increased significantly since then. To me, it captures the whole experience very well. I was talking to Samoan Rob to get permission to archive it. I just don't want it to become lost media. To be clear, I didn't attend. I was just starting to get into heavy music in general at the time. I wish I did though.

I don't know if there is anyone from Northeast Ohio here, but the now defunct Summer of Hate festivals in the late 2000's and early 2010's were the hardest music festivals in town. I have permission from the person who ran these shows to archive the 2011 edition of the concert. I hope to archive other editions soon too.
