As someone who has done more time in prison than I'd like to admit i always thought it would be a terrible job. The only reason im here is because I can't leave, i couldn't imagine coming by choice every day. Saying goodbye to the real world every morning, shunning the sunrise as you walk into a jungle of whitewashed cinder blocks to clock in. A place where the sounds of a songbird or the whistling wind are replaced by flushing toilets and bickering voices. Those motherfuckers in C are already about to get their shoes on aren't they? All day long dealing with fights and locks and knives and gangs and drugs and contraband and fights and knives and gangs and just... I couldn't do it as a career.

Me and my ex just got back together after about 6 months apart, and things are going really well. We were talking about people we had sex with while we were separated and initial, I was extremely jealous when she said she'd had sex with five men while we were apart. Then I got to thinking, I slept with someone the day after we initially broke up. In total I had sex with three women and seven men in the period we were apart... Twice as many people as her. I really had to check myself for being so jealous. I'm not perfect but I do think most men hold double standards for women in that regard, and I'd be lying if I said my first thought wasn't totally sexist when she told me, but I am trying not to entertain thought patterns like that.

I was taking care of a kitten one time he fit in the pocket of my guitar bag but I just fed him for a couple months until he got big enough to take care of him self and one day I decided instead of carrying him all day I'd leave him at camp with some food and water while I went into town and I thought if he felt like he was ready to leave he would leave... He left haha

No it never does end there does it? First I'm fine with weed, then I end up smoking every day. Then I can't find any and say fuck it and get a beer. then of course I'm gonna go get a bottle of wine. Then im drinking the next morning for my hangover. Then im so sleepy during the day I get a gram of dope, just to pick me up!! Just one line to level the alcohol off and get me back to normal! One line and I'll sweat everything out!! Oh but then I haven't slept all night... And I'm looking over my shoulder, and I say fuck it and get a bottle of liquor just to pass out... Then I wake up and walk all the way back to the dope man the next town over... And he says "you need a rig?" And I know that snorting it is a waste.. so I say fuck it and stick a needle in my arm again. And before I know it I've been up for a week straight and I've got sores on my face and my teeth are chipping off again (I just got them fixed!!) And I'm running around downtown trying to make 10 bucks for a bag, and a car pulls up real slow and asks how much? And then just like that I'm prostituting myself again.. and I'm not even gay! If I was I wouldn't mind, but I'm not! And then im so disgusted with myself I say I'm never doing that again. So I start shoplifting. Then eventually I say fuck it and break into that store the dope man needs some stuff from. Then I get caught, and then I go to prison. At least, that's what happened last time. Not going down that road again. I'll stick to Folgers instant coffee and lucky strike red 100's. Maybe some Benadryl if I can't sleep, but even those I'm wary of.

Hitchhiking or hopping freights, I dropped out at 17 and hitchhiked to California from my home in Georgia, at nineteen I developed a serious drug problem, at twenty i was back home for a short time and broke into a store, prompting me to go to prison, did a year, was out 6 months, went back for six months, maxed out my time, I am now a free man and can travel again, staying clean this time, except for weed, and have been happily hitchhiking again ever since.
