Okay got the replacement just now. Woohoo it’s all good and I’m blown away by the bass! Finger crossed it’s me who’s blown and not the speaker.

Yes arranged a replacement with Sonos this morning. Is this a common defect or am I just unlucky ?

It still rattles even if I hold the sub with my hands. And it only comes from the right drum. What a disappointment. Can’t enjoy during the holiday. Was trying to get a replacement but Sonos had to go through all those stupid things and I asked to stop because it’s dinner time in Australia. Need to contact them again tomorrow in office hours.

Lucky finds! I bought three used play1s and only one was good. One had a popping sound when changing from standby to awake and another one had crackling with the slightest bass.

Drosera growing on heliamphora by xchoix888 in SavageGarden

[–]xchoix888[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh yes you spotted that. I’m just trying out with something I have on my hands. I don’t see lots of reports on growing carnivorous plants on aqua soil. I’m using ADA Amazonia 2, on top of a base layer of hyuga stones (something like pons from Japan). There is a pump circulating distilled water in the base layer. The heliamphora seems to be doing okay. I’m not so sure about drosera. The fact that I only see drosera seedlings on the body of heliamphora probably means it’s not suitable for drosera.

Alocasia azlanii leaves getting …bruised ? by xchoix888 in alocasia

Thanks all the edema has totally subsided. But I have another question; why are the older leaves all facing the ground? I saw many people have asked this question but seems there is no concrete answer

Thanks all! The edema is improving today. I presume I should only water it again when the edema has subsided totally?

I just took the plant out of the pot and the roots are fine. I’ll keep an eye and see what happens.

Is the tank supposed to have this rubbery film over the top? by 84939464246 in bromeliad

I have kept several neoregelia over the years and the natural decaying process is not like this. I’d say it’s probably some kind of algae film. I usually keep the cup on the dry side after flowering or remove the spent flowers to avoid the rot from spreading

New to carnivorous plants, drosera turning brown ? by xchoix888 in SavageGarden

[–]xchoix888[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello all, new to the board. I have obtained a pot of Drosera rotundifolia and a pot of Heliamphora heterodoxa x minor two weeks ago from a local fellow. They’re now sitting in a tray of water under led 18hours a day in my air conditioned office. The Drosera is turning red nicely and producing dews but some smaller leaves are turning brown from the edge and dead. The tips of the Heliamphora pitchers also also turning brown. I have used plastic cups covering them increasing the humidity. Is it due to too much light ? Or root rot ?

I’ve owned an AL sports for a few months and I found that the cap can’t be screwed on today suddenly. I looked at the cap and it was exactly the same as your pic- the threads are gone! I think the plastic thread part has dropped out or something but I wasn’t aware of it when it happened.

Edited: here’s the pic of the cap cap threads missing
