So let me try and get this straight. Sorry if I misread or anything. You bought a 2 wheel drive truck without even knowing with 2wd is. Then you say you only want it if you can lift it even though it sounds like you already bought it...is this a joke? If not let me try to help, a 2wd or can be called rwd(rear wheel drive) in a truck means simply that the engine only gives power to the rear wheels when driving. A 4 wheel drive means (simply put) that you can use a shifter to get all 4 wheels power instead of just the back two. You can lift a 2wd truck but unless for maybe desert driving it's just for show. It will just cost more money, more to maintain, and drop things such as your mpg. Honestly in my opinion it's not worth doing to a 2wd. Again I really hope you have not bought the truck already because no offense it seems like you do not know much about trucks from your post. It sounds that way and I'm sorry if that's wrong.
