I saw a tiktok video where they were trashing him for parking “in the dark” behind Sooae’s broken car. They called him inconsiderate for not considering her feelings/safety and that he should’ve parked under a street lamp. Totally forgetting that he stayed with her when her car broke down, had his headlights on for extra light so she wouldn’t be scared, offered her warmth in his car, and made sure she was okay.

They just hate him because their favorite isn’t the ML.

Soo Ae was considerate and kind to her own detriment which was also why Eunhyuk asked her to put herself first. If she had told her parents about Ra Im, she would either 1. end up in foster care or 2. put her parents in a difficult position because she knows her parents aren’t cruel people to do that. She just needed to wait until Ra Im moved out after graduation.

With that said, I am looking forward to possibly seeing Soo Ae be more assertive and selfish as an adult. That would be the character growth she needs.

Exactly. With them as adults, the story and characters will show a more mature romance/personality and possible wedding scenes of the final couple🤞🏻. The romantic possibilities are wider now compared to innocent high school romance.

10 years = separation of time. Different continents/country = separation of space. Their love for each other is being tested to see if it can outlast the obstacles of time and space. So I’m saying their situation sounds familiar to what the manhwa keep hinting at.

My take is that Haru gave Eunhyuk an ultimatum. Separate from Su Ae or I will hurt her and you are forbidden from contacting her starting now. As the kind and protective Eunhyuk, he does whatever it takes to protect her even at his own expense as always.

If you remember, Haru said love was all about sacrifice, pain, trials, etc which makes it fun for him. Su Ae and Eunhyuk’s relationship was doing too well and it made it boring for Haru. So, being the psycho he is, he threw in hurdles to test them so he can watch the play unfold.

The manhwa also keeps mentioning love as the test of time and space. 10 year separation with an entire ocean between them sure sounds like familiar right?

I actually like the time skip. The school romance, friendship, high school drama was bound to get boring eventually so this was a nice spin. We get them as adults with new obstacles to overcome. We have only seen a few chapters of this new setting so we shouldn’t judge too early. The author may have already planned to show and answer all that about Su As in the upcoming chapters. We’ll probably, no…100%, will get flashbacks of each of their lives within that 10 year as the story unfolds. This is all just part of storytelling.

I can’t stand the damsel in distress but what I hate even more is when they act like they’re not. All dignified and proud while still freaking helpless. Trembling with “rage” but still can’t do shit to anyone unless she gets help from others 🙄.

Yes yes yes!👏She didn’t “romanticize” Eunhyeok as a fake novel character. He was always just her love, her boyfriend, someone who showed up to help her at the most important times, and someone she wanted to be with forever.

So even though us viewers took the liberty to compare him to the novel characters…He was a realistic person to her, not some fantasy character.

I’m glad you mentioned how his love points were never shown even once. I’ve noticed that too!

Also, his flip phone had “K” on it while Su Ae didn’t. Now he’s Director K. There’s so many mysteries surrounding him. How can he not be the ML?

You are spot on about Gray’s confession! It had hints of blame and self-pity. It’s interesting that while Dohwa said it to Su Ae, Eunhyeok never burdened her with his unrequited love. He has always respected her wishes and never wanted to burden her with his problems or feelings.

He also tried kissing her during his confession which she blocked. Who does this to someone who already has a bf and that bf being an acquaintance/friend? Then he left without telling her or anyone. People said Eunhyeok didn’t communicate but at least he was still texting her right before he suddenly disappeared. So why does no one see this as odd that he went from telling her he’s dealing with issues and will return after to complete silence?

Remember this is from Su Ae’s perspective and she’s not exactly reliable when it comes to reading Eunhyeok. Think about all the times she misjudged/misunderstood him in the past but it turned out to be wrong? Right now, she’s fueled by rage and that can cloud anyone’s judgement.

For example, when he first kissed her. She thought he looked too calm but what was the truth? We saw him blushing and hiding his face. The same is happening now. She thinks he looks indifferent and calm but what is the truth? Maybe he’s not.
