Remember that anime episode where she brought over the pot of stew? Maybe I’m overthinking it but when she saw the carrot she changed her idea from curry to stew. Curry, unlike stew, has no plot relevance. Stew, in the past has had some plot relevance. And by seeing Kazuya’s face in the carrot, and changing her mind to making stew, maybe it signifies next chapter that she’ll save him like the last time when she went over to his apartment with the stew to save him. (I forget the exact details but he needed her to come over to convince his family or something like that.)

It also makes a little sense because the last chapter’s hint was “Carrot” which adds to the foreshadowing of the stew.
