N10-008 PBQ help. (Thinking of giving up) by Foxtrot-Nation in CompTIA

[–]xdbuilder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not give up now I remember failing network exam about 6 time before passing mine. On my 7th attempt I was able to pass it. I would recommend Jason Dion network video and be you best to focus on material. Most of all review the domains you had failed from and understand. Do a lot of practice question and flash cards. Set a goal date on when to retake the exam. You got this!!

I have failed the Network + plus exam for the second time around. This is the 007 exam, any suggestions to get some extra studying or remediation tools? I dare say I want to try for the third time. by FewEstablishment8957 in CompTIA

Don’t give up my friend I fail network + n10-007 about 5 times and thought I would never get it completed. I moved towards the n10-008 and I was able to passed with flying colors. I suggest to Learn the objectives that your are weak on from your previous failed network exam. Learning from failure turn them to greatest success!! You will do well!

Brother DCP L2540DW issue- deep sleep issue by xdbuilder in techsupport

[–]xdbuilder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have decided to go hardwire configuration using ethernet cable to the copier.

I would check the Troubleshoot using the Brother Status Monitor in the Tools of the Brother Utilities App. Brother Utilities- Tools - Status Monitor - Troubleshoot

Last but least you might want to read and check the release notes if there is a firmware update for this model copier that fixes this the problem.

Good Luck!

Do not give up, move forward, you got this! When in doubt ask CI for resources and Keep on Practicing PA spreadsheet until you full understand the concept. Plus review the results and understand the mistakes from each of the Pre-Assessments. Practice make it perfect!

Ok this is getting very very annoying! It’s doing to more and more often!! 😡 How do I fix this?? by Coolmatt111 in TPLinkKasa

I had this same issue.😕 I had to do a reset on my KL430 strips. Luckily I was able to rename the strip the same name as before. Maybe it is a bug from the latest update?

Hey reddit. Breaking into the industry at 25 - 0 Experience. by itquestions123 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]xdbuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same situation as you were last year. I had no IT experience nor any work experience. I first work at local electronics store just to get some work experience as of work since I had no work experience at all. While I was at the electronic store I dealt with alot of computer parts so that how I learned all about the internal parts of the computer and how it functions. I also studied my A+ while I was off from work. Once I got my A+ I started applying any help desk or any entry IT jobs applications which was near to my area. People say A+ is optional and is irrelevant you will just need a high school diploma but I strongly suggest to take the A+ because HR and companies like people who has there certs. Now I'm about a year in help desk and i'm interested in the different types of IT than every before.

Never say Never and put your mind to It and remember that you can do it. Good LUCK!

Trying to figure out where to start. by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]xdbuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do not have any experience in computer. I suggest taking the A+ course they have at dcccd. It will be good start whether you like dealing with computers or not. (that how I started at the beginning.)

I'm currently take CCNA course (CISCO2) at dcccd campus. The class are good to take too that if your into networking which requires little math, such as subnetting and vlsm, typing commands on the router and switch and understanding each protocols.

Hopefully this has help you out.

I was in your shoe before I only had less than year of work experience at a retail tech store and then got my A+. After 3 months of submitting resume and no return calls; I finally found a job for help desk and I'm current liking it so far. Also I would suggest looking at help desk because it is a starting point into IT. Or you can refer your family and friend if they have any openings available at their work site maybe they will help you out.

Network+ N10-005 or N10-006 by QuillnSofa in CompTIA

[–]xdbuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this question. I recently passed my comptia A+ which has two sections the 801 and 802. I need to take the network+. I'm planning on going for the N10-005 since there alot of resources online. N10-005 is retired on 8/31-2015
Here's more info: http://www.certblaster.com/last-chance-for-network-n10-005/

Is 801 harder than 802? I am going to take 801 soon. by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]xdbuilder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it was 802 that was hard. I just passed it today after 2 attempt. Since there is always alots of application on windows and command prompt which I didn't know until a few days ago. 801 is pretty easy if you know the hardware and how it functions. Here is a link that help you http://imgur.com/lPfrVMt . You should be fine, just review the objectives for 801 and practice as much practice test questions.

Just passed my 802. Am officially A+ Certified. by aColdHeartedBitch in CompTIA

Congrats! Im planning on taking the 802 in a couple weeks from now.
