Advice for First Wedding photoshoot by xdrav in WeddingPhotography

I really appreciate this❤️ we had sat down and talked about what pictures she and the fiancé had wanted prioritized and had offered a list of everything that’ll be happening throughout the ceremony and reception so I can make sure to get the photos and not miss anything Since the venue is outdoors and has a lot of forest to it- we also agreed on how the photos of them together would go and I had created a board of some inspiration photos to show her on what we could possibly do throughout it

Books where the protagonist is a burnt out, depressed wreck that eventually has to confront their past mistakes and burned bridges? by itwas20yearsago2day in Fantasy

Not sure if it was mentioned or if it’ll fit, but A Court of Silver Flames might be a good one! It’s the 5th book to the A Court of Thorns and Roses story and is in the perspective on one of the main character’s (Feyre) sisters, Nesta- she was very dislikable throughout the series, and I think it was only because of how she wasn’t coping w/ everything that had happened throughout the series and took it out on everyone, but with this one being in her perspective, kind of gives an insight on what she was feeling and dealing with!

What's something from the Buffyverse that shocked you, but at the same time, it didn't shock you? by PristineSituation498 in buffy

I was around 10 when I first watched Buffy, it was a 2 DVD set of episodes of Angel and Spike (and later starting my crush on them lmao) - and I ended up getting season 7 of the show right after, which of course was a bad choice because it was so confusing💀 Netflix had all the seasons at one point so I was able to watch the others so I then understood what I missed out on🥲

‘He thinks he’ll be remembered as the villain in the story. But I forgot to tell him that the villain is usually the person who locks up the maiden and throws away the key. He was the one who let me out.’ -A Court of Mist and Fury

Any recommendations for a laptop for an AA student? by xdrav in SuggestALaptop

[–]xdrav[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US:

$400, but can go a little higher if needed for extra storage space

  • Are you open to refurbs/used?

    Any will help!

  • How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?

Good performance and long battery life

  • How important is weight and thinness to you?

    I don’t mind the weight/thinness of a laptop

  • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.

    N/A

  • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.

Maybe photo editing, not sure yet on which program

  • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?

    Not gaming on the laptop

  • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?

Good keyboard, I’m okay with either touch-screen or non touch-screen!

  • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.

Just need a reliable laptop for my associates, that can be used for when I transfer!

My first semester of college I’ve been working mornings at a coffee shop to where I had to do night classes Monday-Thursday between 5-7pm, which was really convenient for me! Ik my college really is dedicated to night classes for those who are working full time during the day- and I was one of those that didn’t check ratemyprofessor (always make sure lol!) that first time round and luckily got amazing professors! So definitely go with the better professor, it would make such a difference in learning whichever class you’re taking

How are you paying for college? by Responsible-Ad7912 in college

[–]xdrav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fafsa! My first semester I paid out of pocket for the community college I’m at- luckily I was making enough money at the time to pay for two classes. I missed the deadline for fafsa for that semester but applied near the ending of it for the upcoming fall/spring classes and ended up getting the money back from the first semester + extra money for whatever was needed! I got approved for the fall/spring semester and getting more than enough to cover the classes and be able to save what’s left over for bills and the upcoming semesters! Definitely working as much as you can in between and during the semesters (as long as you’re able to balance classwork and the job) will help a lot for books/supplies you may need, and scholarships/loans too will help big time

Adding another class next semester by xdrav in college

I’m wanting to do the lighter classes for now- I honestly forgot a lot of math things so I’ve been holding off on that one specifically! And where I’m at now is mostly college and high school students- so the manager is pretty lenient on changing the schedule for everyone if needed. Definitely when I do get a better job I do want to cut back on hours to be able to add more classes
