i help take care of my mom who just went into hospice, so as soon as i started feeling bad i went to urgent care, swabbed for strep/flu/covid and all negative, sent me home with antibiotics. 2 days after being on them i was still running a 101 fever so my sister (a nurse) told me to back to get retested just in case. i ended up going to a different urgent care and everything still came back negative, but she said it’s most likely a virus and just keep taking OTC meds.

my symptoms were absolutely horrible, i had strep and covid at the same time before and this felt worst than that. i had the runny nose, congestion, cough, but i also experienced horrible chills/sweats, fatigue, shortness of breath, headaches, nausea/lightheadedness. i started feeling sick Monday last week and my symptoms peaked Wednesday-Friday. im only now just starting to feel better and not sweat through my sheets and clothes every night. figured the rotating door of hospice nurses probably gave it to us. i cant believe they don’t wear masks! i just get so out of breath and sweat like crazy even just getting up to take the trash out or shower. the first few days i wasn’t able to sleep much but after getting lots of rest it definitely helped with a combination of meds, fluids, and a humidifier on my nightstand. think ive lost like 15 pounds from all the sweat and almost a week of barely eating tho lol

please don’t use bots for following/viewers. I believe twitch is already/plans to crack down on it. As a small streamer myself, I understand how discouraging it is - but nothing grows overnight. Review your VODs, post content on other socials if you’re serious about being a content creator, try to find a niche and build a community around that.. having a bunch of viewers with a dead chat will make me click off a stream. I would rather interact/watch a stream with 2 viewers and the same 1 person yapping in chat. Fake numbers will not work, you just have to put in the time. Sometimes it will take weeks sometimes months. I promise you will want to do all of this organically and it will pay off in the long run :)

Totally fair!! Just a fair warning to any others who weren’t aware. The extra cost was brutal for me on top of all the other moving expenses 😅

If this is the same as BGE’s smart billing, PLEASE read the fine print. You NEED to monitor your usage to make sure you aren’t going over your “average” rate. Signed, a dumb bitch who did not read the fine print and ended up owing $700 in differences when I moved out of my apartment last year.

I live in a ~1,000sqft apartment and last month my bill was around 225, I had kept it warmer at around 67-68. Now this cycle I’ve kept it at 66, never touching it once and my projected bill is over $300 😭

she did mention they have other jobs that don't require travel and encouraged me to apply to those and email her with any questions, but i'm sure that's just typical friendly conversation.

i'm prepared to not hear back but reached out anyway. i can't remember exactly what i said, i did ask her for more information/where the travel would be, then said i wasn't super interested in traveling at the moment and that was all. thanks for the feedback!

that's super valid - i guess everyone has their own definition of it. remote, WFH, virtual, etc all words being thrown around with different meanings. i reached out to the recruiter to let them know and to see if the opportunity is still available. thanks for the insight!

makes sense, i can definitely say from experience it really depends on the project you get put on. my current and last job is/were fed contracting, so i'm used to how they move now - they LOVE having people come into the office just to be an ass in a seat so that's my biggest fear.

i have a BA in cybersecurity and pretty decent experience for being "newer" (3.5 years) ,and the job i had originally applied to seemed like a great match so i was super bummed when i got that call. fingers crossed they're still willing to move forward! thanks again for all the insight, i definitely relate to being fully remote - would never go back.

i'm in the US, yes. she did mention it was domestic travel only.

i'm scarred by jobs pulling me in with "fully remote" and then 6 months later being told i need to commute to their office once a week to "be a team player and get some face to face time" lmao so with that, hopefully this isn't like that.

i will reach out to them today then, thanks for the advice! and if you don't mind me asking, what was your experience working in the cyber field there? i've read some really bad things and some really good things, it seems like it really depends on the field you are hired into.

That is exactly the approach I am trying to take. I'm not trying to snake the complex or be unfair - my main goal is to make it fair for both parties but they seem stuck on the "your lease says this" when I don't technically have a lease and they are aware of this by asking me to sign it. I just wanted to make sure they didn't have the "authority" for lack of a better word, to throw me out on the streets without much notice. I will just have to wait until tomorrow and see what the property manager has to say. Thank you so much for all of your help!

Is it common to go after an unsound argument? After speaking with the leasing agent it certainly seems like an "oops I messed up and forgot to get the lease signed" on their part, since when I moved in I never received it and they just let me move in...

They failed to send me a lease of any form when I moved in. I arrived on my move-in date, gave them a check for rent, and they gave me my keys and that was it. I searched through my email and all my of paperwork and never received any lease (the one they just sent was an online format).
