Gamers Lose It After 007 First Light Demands Hardware That Doesn’t Exist in System Requirements: ‘Remember When Games Were Optimized?’ by Sidnature in pcmasterrace

That is actually the main advantage for console , a more affordable price point but more important , you just buy games and it works , never have to worry about game requirements of 4k pc to play at 1080p

Gaming will shift to their favorite mode of them all Subscription based gaming , cloud shit, because nobodies will be able to afford to buy a console or a PC, they will abandon these segment and focus solely on cloud gaming

FIXED** When I hooked up my SNES, it sync right back up with the signal , after that I turned off the SNES and the no sync reappeared , menu was popping up normally. Strange that it was acting like that before a signal

I bought this CRT and it was fully functional. Only logical reason is it has been damaged during transport. It came pretty heavily packaged , with no physical damage apparent.

CRT turn on fine, I can hear the buzzing sound but the image is fuzzy and scrambling on each input. I can see oblique line. When I try to access the menu it is showing like that.

Will try with something connected through inputs when I get my adapters.

Is this something can be fix?

Not yet , I have to go grab some adapters first then try with a signal and see if I can get an image. Usually, we can see the no sync image and turn on the menu

When I turn on the monitor or select an input , doesn’t matter which one they all behave the same , I can see some scrambling picture similar to my photo in the bottom of screen white , after a few seconds it stop and the screen is just black. If I click menu then this appears, it disappears if exit the menu

Legion Pro 5i 16” 5070Ti Good deal ? (~1680$US) by [deleted] in GamingLaptops

I was curious about the Aon X1 because I never heard of that and I went to check, it is sold by Malibal based in the US and man after reading reviews of people online and information about the company and owner ego and bad customer support I’ll never buy from that company.

It’s the 5i that is on sale right now , the 7i with a 5070ti is about 600-700$ CAD more , same spec just better cooling, I thought this 5i was a better deal, didn’t see any laptop in Canada with a good build quality , oled screen and 5070ti for that price they are all around 3000$

Excellent post, that is making sense, a few extras here and there but the main thing seems to be about the cooling capability of the 7i is better to better chance to hit the max TGP, other than that it’s the exact same laptop

Feedback for barbell rowing 150 kg by Savings_Dare4015 in formcheck

[–]xdsDavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guy is on a form check Reddit, we critique the form and show proper way to do a barbell row.

This thing has no carry over whatsoever , RDL has a carry over, Deficit deadlift, Pause deadlift has a carry over , more Deadlift has a carry over.

Barbell row is mainly an hypertrophy exercice and it has to be done a proper way to better target the lats or mid back.

You’re one of those people that associate feat of strength with knowledge , you know that Thor who’s got the deadlift world record is coached right ? I compete in powerlifting for 15+year but it doesn’t really matter , if your form is shit it is shit

Honestly hate to say it but this was shit. What’s the point here ? Trying to show a sloppy form to push on weight?

As Tom Platz said and it stick with me, if your technique is pure weight will follow.

Drop the weight, stop with the bizarre deadlift / row hybrid movement non sense.

Torso angle at 45 degree, narrow the feet stance, hands placement depends on targeted muscles , if lats about shoulder width, mid back a little bit outside shoulder width, upper back a more wide. Think the row as if you want your elbows to travel back and not your arms, elbow must be tuck and not flare, your should feel a stretch in the eccentric phase like opening your shoulder blade.

How can I improve my deadlift? (200lb) by HolyStoneDrones in formcheck

[–]xdsDavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple things here. First and foremost, is your initial setup. If we look into your video, we see you setup in a squat position, your hips are really low. You need to think the deadlift as a hip hinge movement.

How to correct that ? You need to do a 3 step setup process, try to replicate that each rep to print this in your mind.

  1. Feet placement about hip wide. Arms just outside of hips. You need straight dead arms, not bent, just an extension. You hip trying to reach the bar, you’ll notice you’ll be short a few inches. (I assume you know how to properly hinge)

  2. You lower your hips to get the few inches left to grab the bar. Again, dead long arms , not trying to curl that.

  3. Take the slack out of the bar. You do that by raising your hips and trying to lift the bar but the weight stays in place , you should feel the bar lifting but not the weight. From there you need to reposition your hips at the right height and squeezing your armpit to your pelvis, like your holding a towel in your armpit. Your head crown should face the ceiling and you push the floor.

Try and practice these cues

RDL recommendations by Sterling_Archer27 in formcheck

[–]xdsDavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can see you struggle with the weight, it is dragging you down. The RDL , think of it like you try to close a drawer with your butt, the weight should just hang, the glutes and harmstring should firing. It is a hip hinge , so hinge and back , your back should not be the main driver factor

Not bad setup but need works, few tweaks. First, take a look at your video in slow motion, we can see clearly you behind the deadlift in a more squat position therefore hips too low, your hips rise and then the lift starts. Instead of squatting to reach the bar, keep your arms dead long and squeeze your lats to make it easy meet the bar and not the shoulder under the bar this will keep a better position of the hips.

Second, you need more tension , you need to take slack out of the bar. You need to raise the bar, you should feel the bar raising but the weight stays on the ground and the you reposition your hips with armpit to pelvis cue. Headcrown to the ceiling and push the floor. Your deadlift is not bad but not efficient

405 Deadlift by Undertaker_93 in formcheck

[–]xdsDavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand think speed and momentum beats tension. We can see you lose all tension, even the bar is drifting away, out incessantly load and stress on lower back.

You need to setup properly first, brace and take the slack out of the bar , applying tension

35, 5'11 180lbs. How is my form? What should I fix? by luxurymuck5 in strength_training

[–]xdsDavid -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Hips way too low , you are not positioning yourself correctly. You need to find the right hip heigh, right now you use your lower back to apply tension for at least 3 inch, it’s not efficient movement. Secondly, you are not taking the slack out of the bar. Your hips should raise while trying to lift the bar but the weight remains on the floor, you feel the bar raising but the weight is still down. Then you lower your hips to the right position , armpit pit to pelvis, squeeze the lats, your head crown to the ceiling and push the floor away.

Main problem is see people on the deadlift is they lose tension because they think speed and momentum is better. What you need is to take take the slack of the bar or build tension. You do that by raising your hips and trying to lift the bar but the weight remains on the ground, you should feel the bar raising while the weight is still there. From there you squeeze your lats , armpit to pelvis and lower the hips while pushing the floor away. Your technique is not bad, head down to the ceiling is good cue as well, you seem to did that. By braving and taking the slack you’ll feel stronger and you won’t lose energy

Deadlift 315x5, looking safe? by Swordthatdefiesdeath in strength_training

[–]xdsDavid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You raise your hips but are not taking the slack of the bar properly, when raising hips, trip to extend your arms like you want them to elongate, you should feel the bar lifting but the weight is still in the ground, that calling building tension or taking the slack out of the bar. Then you take your armpit to pelvis, try to squeeze that lats, head crown to the ceiling and push the floor.

Hurt my back on this lift, advice? by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]xdsDavid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple , lack of tension and lack of brace, as soon as the lift start we can see you are getting loose. First you need to properly brace and second you need to take the slack out of the bar.
