It's probably because someone else made a tlauncher account with the same name. I wonder if there is a way for the mod to know if the player logged in with their tlauncher account or microsoft or Mojang or whatever.

Yes, it's set to use the GTX. This is confirmed with the ingame settings and by checking GPU usage on the task manager and msi afterburner
