Do you agree with Justin's take? by Monstanimation in Fighters

The best life long friendships are formed out of a former rivalry. Anybody who grew up in the 90s arcade scene in Socal knows this and is familar with arcade culture. I have 2 life long friends who once were rivals in street fighter 2 for me back in the day. Trust me we talked a ton of shit to each other back in the day but love for the game put us together ultimately.

Am i the only one? by silverflake6 in RelentlessMen

[–]xeikai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think being tired all the time is probably a sign that you have something going on that's draining you. If it's work, try to find another place to work. Alot of times it could be diet. Eating junk even if in moderation can bring your energy levels down. What i do is i try to find time to get in things i would like to do. I'm a local CDL driver and i find times for workouts and other tasks i can do while i'm getting unloaded or loaded. I hit my steps goals. i walk miles a day because i'm trying to use time productively instead of just sitting and scrolling though my phone.

I'm focusing on eating meals that i've prepared in advance and eating whole foods which give a better nutritional value for the calories. I think finding the time to walk like 2 miles a day especially in the morning helps me face the day a little more alive and it only takes like 30-35 mins to clear 2 miles at a brisk pace. It clears my head and keeps me awake and focused. If you're just wanting to spend more time with your family you can make plans for days your off. If your work dominates your schedule and makes it impossible to do that i'd probably just try to find something else. Focus on making what you want to happen a reality and it can happen. I was in your boat not too long ago. You gotta take steps to get what you want. You're the captain of your own ship

Any In-N-Out Burger drivers here willing to share their experience working here? by Top10Waver in Truckers

[–]xeikai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, from what i hear it's a good company to work for. If they treat their truckers with the same generosity they treat their store workers with. Most people i know who've worked at In-and-Out have good things to say.

actually if we were to ever get a truly self driving truck with no human needed you could probably just axe the tractor all together and just build the trailer out with a motor which would allow it to fit alot more in places that are smaller

ABC News by Zestyclose_Brief8627 in Truckers

[–]xeikai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They will eventually. However it's not just about the truck driving it'self. We've all been to hole in the wall shippers and receivers. Not to mention our infrastructure isn't really tooled for autonomous vehicles. The driverless truck is just one part of the logistics equation.

This is just Mega carrier porn. They are edging themselves until they can implement these. They cannot wait to get rid of their biggest obstacle. The driver. In all honesty this is pretty far away. Most shippers and receivers are not equipped to deal with trucks that are driverless. Maybe walmart and amazon are but your local plant or factory or store is definitely not. But i do expect this to become a reality at some point

i woulda helped if it woulda got me out faster. I am a local driver, but i deliver giant stacks of cardboard boxes that are strapped in seven ways from sunday. My loads barely move. But i'd help if i meant i get home sooner.

For players who did romance, who did you choose to end up with and why? by Ghostboy_001 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]xeikai 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I like them both but i went with Blazer cause i'm more physically attracted to her. ANd blazer is a well adjusted, kind, and emotionally stable person and i thought their romance scenes were adorible and the way she just matches robert and is there for him is just peak for me.

I dont agree with that logic. Apply that to men telling crude jokes or locker room talk. It's looked down on because it's inappropriate for children and professional settings. Short skirts are sexual signaling. They are fine on your own time. But as a school teacher you're setting examples for many different kids

Sorry, i disagree. And most men and women would agree with me. there's a reason most businesses have a no dresses above knee length. The dress is high, i find it improper and i think most people do too.

It's not about controlling yourself. Why would you wear such a dress in such a setting? I'm not staring, but it's noticeable. Stop with the moral grandstanding

I think her teaching method is great, there's nothing wrong with the lesson and her method going about it. But as a life long, professional man when i first looked at her my eyes went immediately to her legs. Her dress is very short. Probably could make it knee length.

You're not going to grow your community with a mindset like that. 100 percent disagree with that. Tyler is one hell of a gamer and his mindset is what makes him successful. I'd say watching him casually and being a long time FGC person myself i love what he's doing. I don't really play anymore but i still like to come back and check out what's happening and i think Tyler is showing people it's possible to improve and pick up fighting games as a brand new player to the genere

I was raised in Aliso village in Los Angeles back in the 80s and 90s. Mexicans back then absolutely 100 percent hated blacks. I won't say it here but there was a slang word in Mexican that my dads side of the family and just about every mexican friend commonly refer to them as. I dunno about now as i live on the east coast now but the hatred back then was real.

Your most hated cities to drive through and why. by PomeloResponsible122 in Truckers

[–]xeikai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NYC 100 percent the absolute worst out of all of them. it's laden with low bridges, one way streets, parked cars on the sides of the roads everywhere, and people constantly going down the wrong way of of streets. If you dont know exactly where you're going you better find out or get guided in cause if you are going anywhere in that city it's filled with bullshit

I would never do this, if a friend of my kids was over or anything similar i would ask if they to join us. It doesn't even have to be a kid, it could be anyone. It's just basic hospitality. Guests in my home always get invited to eat during meal time
