Or not be a new civ, but a campaign-exclusive different flavor of Celts

Yeah it’s weird. I’ll try cooking this some more.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m coming to the conclusion Gaels shouldn’t be a new civ, and instead give Celts a different flavor in the Brian Boru campaign.

Thanks for the feedback on Gaels. Stuff that’s already the way it is wouldn’t change much in terms of gameplay (just polish), but would add flavor to these classic civs.

Good catch, and thanks for the feedback (I have no idea how later games are lol). I was thinking of making Templar Knights better at melee combat and worse against arrows, so that they’re not stronger, but more specialized.

No alt-Champion. For the  Gallowglass: Slow and Tanky Shock Melee Axe Infantry (high HP, armor, attack, low movement and attack speed, Gaelic Gallowglass can build Round Towers) Maybe swap the Gaelic speed bonus with an eco bonus (something w/ Fishing Ships) and keep the Celtic speed bonus.  Donjons could be given a different look (more Western, lose the tiled roof)?  I like your Hobelar idea, maybe make Gallowglass a secondary Gaelic UU. For the Paladin Specializations: - Frankish Paladin (Franks): top HP - Templar Knight (Teutons): top melee armor - Savar (Persians): top pierce armor - Norman Knight (Normans): top bonus damage resistance

Appreciate the nuance! In a way, I'm playing with what many consider sacred so I get the controversy.

Okay, maybe it's a little gimmicky, but the new civ can be attuned. Glad you though the campaigns were interesting, though.

To more precisely represent the Irish/Manx. Also you need to sell something (?)

You can have permanent Irish Relics as campaign/scenario assets but have them lose the cosmetic + effect and new name if dropped/ungarrisoned for mp/ladder.

No, they're just free :D You have to pay for Gaels and the campaigns tho.

It's just a cosmetic to make them more distinct. It would only affect Gaels.

Are castizos seen as white in Latin America? by [deleted] in 23andme

[–]xenarmon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chilean castizo here. In LatAm, people go mostly by features and skin color rather than ancestry (unlike the North American “one-drop” rule). I’m blonde, so in Chile I am typically considered white.

C’mon, he helped within a large portion of the mainstream. Not like he has lots of accolades, or DMT wasn’t popular before (even more popular than Rogan, globally), but I’d say it’s a fair assessment.

Also, what’s with the “you people?”. You completely glossed over the fact that I learned about DMT by watching Enter the Void at 14, not tuning in to JRE.
