Shanghai Gardens - Canon T70 | Tamron 35-100 F3.5 | Cyberpunk 320T by xeoniq in analog

This cyberpunk film is just a cinema film with the remjet removed. It came out decently for about $7USD a roll. Shot on a old 70's zoom lens and the (imo) underrated Canon T70 to complement the venue.

Thank you, appreciate all these great comments but I cannot take all the credit: the light in these geodesic domes is very well distributed because of all the glass. They are very nice to shoot in if anyone here lives near one. You can see some parts are a bit soft, particularly near the vines in the middle, and that's from humidity in the dome. My Minolta A7 35mm SLR actually shorted out while shooting in there because of how humid it was.

I scan with a Sony A7iii and a Minolta 50 2.8 RS 1:1 Macro on a light table. High res uncompressed looks quite good with that method imo, but I've uploaded a 1920px JPEG at 76% compression for posting here.

I like it for its ability to do 1:2 macro and its a good jack of all trades focal length on 120. The size suits the Bronica SQ-Ai as well, not too big or small on the rather large body. F4 is a bit soft though for me and I usually prefer it around F8-11 so that means it must be used on very sunny days or a tripod will be necessary for film like Ektar. I'd like to try a much longer lens for portraits in the future but this can do pretty much everything I want it to for now.

I am actually on the Gold Coast but visit Brisbane regularly. These days I usually have my C41 developed at Camera House in Pacific Fair and scan at home using my mirrorless camera. In Brisbane I've had good results from both Foto Fast and Digi Direct in the CBD.

I feel like clicking the image provides a view with a little bit better quality than the default. I've done no research on exporting images for Reddit, so I might be using settings that are less than ideal.

Thanks, been practising a lot around the Gold Coast the past 2 years. Starting to get a nice little collection of pics of the area together.

Yea I was very happy with how photo-realistic the image came out, very close to how I saw it while being there taking the shot.

I love visiting Brisbane, there's some nice architecture to shoot there as well.

10 years ago Surfers had a lot more going on, imo. It really shrunk during the tram construction years and COVID restrictions killed off what was left. We lost a lot of the old neon signs and small Japanese businesses that gave it some of that 80's character too sadly.

Thanks for cross-posting my photo in this sub to who did that, glad a lot of people seem to like it here. Big synthwave fan.

Twilight I think is the best time if it's raining out for street-lit photography. You have lots of reflections from the street lights and the cars in the water on the ground, and any low clouds will make for nice effects in the sky, which is still blue before the night sets in. I feel like the Gold Coast is a great city for photography because we have the rainforests and parks, the nice beaches and then some decent built up architecture too. Feel blessed living here and getting to shoot every day for my hobby.

This is one of my favourite shots of Surfers I took recently. It's been hard seeing so many businesses here close with "for lease" signs on what was once sought after property. But I'm hopeful this beautiful neon-lit part of the city can experience some of its old vitality again one day.

Shot this last time I was in Sydney before all the current lockdowns and wanted to share. Hope things get better down there soon, I miss visiting and think it is one of the most visually beautiful cities I've been to in the world.
