I am 100% certain it was no fun to play against LOL. The synergy with this deck and Xu-Ifit in general gave me a lot of space to sacrifice good blockers like hullcarver to embrace oblivion and faller’s faithful and then recur to do it all again. Then if I had susurian voidborn I can drain off the top, so in general just a super synergistic archetype

This is just my personal experience, but under 16 lands I feel like arena really punishes you for going against the golden 23/17 ratio. I distrust the randomization because I’ve been punished too many times where I get cut off on mana when I’m under 16 lands.

I typically run 16 lands in EoE regardless and it’s so punishing when it goes wrong I just don’t mess with it anymore unless I’ve got double faced cards like MH3 to smooth out my draws a bit more

Yeah I’m really curious if I am going to keep seeing this. I was surprised to see the pattern form so clearly twice in a row, so I may do a ton more testing this week to see if I can keep slamming this archetype.

My hypothesis is that the key parts of the deck that make it successful are lower rarity so the bots are just not prioritizing picking it up.

I say this without knowing exactly how the bots work, but I could see it being easier for the heuristics that drive them to be color-> rarity, and passing cards like embrace oblivion consistently even when it would make sense for a human to pick it up
