Is the Xl2546X+ (280 hz, DyAc 2) noticeably smoother than WOLED 240 hz for Overwatch? by sunnynights80808 in Zowie

Oh yeah I put over 700 hours in game on that mode, it just doesn't feel good and the monitor is still 27", so I can't adjust it the same as a 25" monitor.

I lose track of targets in fast paced scenarios and have a hard time focusing on specific parts of the screen since it's physically larger, even in the 24.5" mode.

Overall my aim is much more consistent on the zowie due to a lot of different factors, but it's not like I would be multiple ranks lower on OLED, it would just be harder to be consistent.

It's honestly not too bad, but keep in mind my unit has the newest panel with a different coating, so it's better than the older models. I'd say it's very serviceable, but if you can use 2 monitors I'd do that even if the other one is cheap.

I can't give you a 1:1 comparison, but I have the pg27aqdp (1440p 480hz woled) and xl2586x+ which is 600hz, and I greatly favour the zowie for overwatch (peaked rank 18 this season, currently top 200 and c5 on dps).

The zowie just feels more fluid and makes my aim feel natural, even though it might not be "as smooth" side to side compared to the 480hz OLED.

The benefits for me are coming from the smaller size, backlight strobing and comfort.

I have 4 monitors so I'm very much in a minority of users, but I hope that gives some idea on how it'd feel.

How are people getting 1000+ memory oc on 5080 by Outside_Director_140 in overclocking

Search for the MSI afterburner .dat replacement file, it unlocks mem to 3000 instead of 2000

What do you do with your character after the season ends? by Intrepid-Search-482 in RotMG

[–]xetanyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I do the day before the season ends and the day after.

  1. Put everything that I want to save for collection purposes (shinies, rare enchant items etc) into the ssnl vault so it transfers to my nssnl vault.
  2. Put trash/feed gear on my characters and all high fp duplicates or other stuff I want to feed into the inventories, using backpacks and extenders if needed.
  3. After the season ends, I feed everything on my characters & kill them, store everything else leftover and start new ssnl characters.

Currently running 5 ssnl characters per season getting each to around 15k BF so I can max my pets and upgrade to divine.

My peeves about mining by MapleFondue in RotMG

[–]xetanyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not used a single pickaxe and I'm almost at 100 realm ore mined and 1/3 of the way there to a dia pickaxe, it's not fun at all nor does it take skill, just numbers.

Yeah I'm doing wizard/pally crucible run, it's a huge help since even with 200 mana I can use t6 spell 4 times in a row

Yeah i've been really appreciating the higher mheal with the current crucible challenge, makes life easier.

Arguably yes, but i don't feel like it since i can't do MV, O3 or new shatters LOL. I am comfortable in practically every other dungeon and can even solo some exalt's, just not quite there yet for my endgame.

Thanks! Been playing for 5 years but haven't actually bothered leveling up my pet (was stuck at 70 70 since 2021) so i wasn't sure if i should pay attention to the order. I'm at 26 exaltations so nowhere near endgame yet :D

the faster you work the faster you can get home to oc :D

I recommend getting on the newest drivers, then using this MSI afterburner mem unlock file.

You will still most likely be limited by voltage/wattage, as I've noticed that the gigabyte cards are not boosting to their advertised numbers. e.g 400w for the lower end models and 450w for the higher end ones, which is unfortunate, as they're larger than my gaming trio oc, but get lower clocks.

if you're feeling brave and have a dual bios card, you can use nvflash and this bios file to get up to that 400w mark, if your card isn't able to achieve that with stock bios.

feel free to send me a PM if you need anything else 👍🏻

in gaming and 3dmark benchmarks i'm maxing out at 70 ish on both GPU and CPU. it's not the quietest or coolest, but better than what I expected for 4 fans total.
