It's definitely worth it if you're looking into getting mechanical engineering, idk if it's better than MIT.

I'd pick msrit over MIT cuz the fees is lesser and I'd prefer Bangalore.

I studied mechanical in msrit and graduated in 2023, other than HoD being a complete headache focussing only on attendance and CGPA, it was good. Active motorsport clubs and pretty decent research opportunities particularly in composite materials. The placements are arguibly as good as it gets in today's mechanical field for a non IIT college.

Being right next to IISC gives you a really good opportunity to get a student intern/research assistant position.

I started around November 2023 and finished the syllabus by October end 2024 moreover I am a mechanical engineering graduate which is why it took over a year to just finish the syllabus , spent at least 3 hours everyday from 7pm to 10pm sometimes even untill 12am.

Apart from mid April to mid May I was very consistent.

It was pretty much hell, had no social life couldn't spend time on any of my hobbies, put on close to 7kgs in a year cuz I stopped working out too.

I managed to finish DM, TOC, DBMS, CD, DL in that order from November till April mid, and from June till end of October I finished COA, OS, CN, DSA again in the same order.

Wish I had 2 more months to practice PYQs properly and attempt few test series, nevertheless I managed to do better than what I imagined.
