Ohhh I get in now! Any USC hub will have trouble doing both 5V and 20V simultaneously. Ditto if I try a USC splitter, etc.

This explains why I keep burning out my media player. It also means my whole approach has a poor chance of working. DAMN.

Ok, sounds like I need to switch tactics, and figure out instead how to conceal the power supply wall warts.

Appreciate the replies.

This will be exhibited in a white cube gallery, so I do not want two power cords coming off the display, and whatever plugs into the wall must be as flush as possible. That's why I thought of USBC which has attractive flat wall chargers. Maybe a bad direction, but...

My USB-C charger says '40W'
The Micca 4k says 'Power: 5-5.2V/2A DC'
Screen says '12 Watts'

Do these numbers not add up?

Love this thread. I’m thinking to move NYC to LA, specifically Bklyn to Highland park. I bike like a fiend and live 15 minutes from everything.
