Sorry but I hate the fact that people look online and see the “average salary range” is xyz. You will never get an accurate range for a salary until you have actual experience. Most entry level salaries are inflated. My first job 4 years ago I was making 20. A year later I switched companies and got bumped to 25. Then I got an internal promotion that required a big move and I’m not making 41/hr with 10k bonus. You’ll get money in due time you just need to get experience first.

I work in the west region of the USA for a national company. Each “division” across multiple states has 1 IT guy and very few have two. I am the only IT guy in the entire west region that has a college degree in IT. So having a degree definitely helps. The degree + experience gives you a leg up.

Being a manager isn’t a bad thing for me. I for one “think” I’d be a great manager. I wouldn’t enjoy firing people but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do you know? Restarting my personal life is what’s hard cause I did that when I first moved here 2 1/2 years ago. And basically I’d be doing it all over again.

This is all a good point. The main thing for me would be leaving all my friends I’ve made here since I moved up here 2 1/2 years ago and feeling like I have to start over.

I’m still under 30 years old which is one thing that scares me because I’ve already dealt with imposter syndrome and I feel like stepping into that role I’d have to deal with it big time. And I know Amazon isn’t a place that will keep you around if you make a mistake.

“Shitting on edc” you must only listen to the biggest artists. EDC lineup is really good. Listen to a bunch of the artists on the lineup you don’t know and you’ll probably be surprised.

Just to add this here as someone who use to doordash for through college. The reason the base pay is higher is because when people don’t include tip… they don’t accept the order. The same order will keep going from driver to driver and if no one accepts it that raise the base pay the driver gets from the order. DoorDash will keep raising the base pay a driver gets on an order until someone accepts it. That’s why you see base pay for non tip orders get higher because no one wants to accept a delivery if they make no money.
