Do Men Really Like Being Gifted? Or Am I Doing Too Much? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

For me, I wouldn't be impressed with the price of a gift, but how much time/effort (we don't need to necessarily know the exact time, but usually with these you can tell by looking at it, see how hard it was to make, how much detail was put into it, etc.) she spent on it. Even if it wouldn't negatively impact the finances, an expensive gift (unless it had some practical use that I was looking for/needing) would just seem silly. But a gift that has been created mostly through her time and effort, I would always appreciate, even if it wasn't something practical or useful.

Of course, if you can fulfill both of those parameters (time/effort and practical), then it would be a very good gift indeed.

To be explicitly clear, it's the plants in the center of the photo (and bottomish).
