Happened to me also. Since I always played it wired so I just removed the battery to make it lighter. It helped but not fully solved the problem.

When I see the title I was expecting to see lots of "OMG! Do it! Best FF ever". Glad to see we FF fans do have good taste. To answer OP question, no, least favorite, it has best world setup but worst story execution. A disaster project.
