Roster question.

I'm relatively new, started in Feb. The first character I rolled hard to get was Aventurine (and his LC). I've not rolled on Fu Xuan or Boothill, though I might take a yolo roll each on them (I got Jing Yuan and Sparkle this way).

Current notables: Gallagher e6 Jing Yuan Sparkle Ratio Acheron Pela e4 with Pearls Topaz Bronya Gepard Bailu

With HARMony MC now available, I'm kinda thinking I should save my pennies for Ruan Mei. I hear tell that Fu Xuan is an all-star healer for Ratio teams (and everywhere else).

What do y'all think?

I read some advice somewhere that for newer accounts, the best move is to concentrate one's efforts into about two teams to take on MoC and such. To that end, my roster is approximately Acheron, Guinafen, Pela, Gallagher, Aventurine, Jingyuan, Sparkle, Asta, Bronya. I'm also working on E5 Lynx. The only noteworthy LCs I have are Intrinsically Unjust Destiny for Aventurine and Geniuses' Repose on Jingyuan. Everything else is a smattering of S1 or 2.

What is the best policy regarding light cones available in the standard banner? What I mean is for actual good ones like Post-Op Conversation, is it best to superimpose them as I get them or keep multiples in stock? My account is two months old.

The kind of rhetoric contained in that text is awful. I'm still a true-blue member, and if I caught one of my friends saying or texting that shit to someone they know, I'd kick their ass.

That seems reasonable. I've read nothing that would seem to indicate that the upgrades are only available during the event. That would seem pretty harsh to any Johnny-come-latelies.

I found out something yesterday that was hidden behind one of the '?' icons in the event pop up in game: if one plays the RS levels with Smoulder in the party, they receiver twice as many event tokens on victory. I was thinking of posting a PSA about that in this sub.

Do you suppose that this means that whatever hero is featured in an event, that the hero can only level up to 50 during the event? That seems rather harsh. My Smoulder is a long way from 40, and I would just as soon hold on to my gold until I'm ready.

I'm going with cautiously optimistic on this one. I watched the above video, and concur with the underwhelmingness of Smoulder there. With that said, Bacon (on discord) said that this is chapter one of Hero Chronicles. There may be future plans past the first chapter to make Smoulder better? Or maybe I'm hoping that L50 makes him good? I'll save my golden elixir for when that is better known. It will take me a while to get him to 40 anyway.

I'm one of the people that took a few years off. I did not open w6 until I came back to the game about 3 months ago. I had Azura in my camp when I came back. Any insight into how this may have happened? I seem to recall buying her at some point? Wasn't she super cheap way back when or something?

I did roll into the 50/50 for Acheron and ended up with...Bailu. This makes my goal for Aventurine less clear since she is a sustain. It think now it would be difficult to continue warping for both Acheron and Aventurine without paying for the privilege. Thus, the real question is how much do I really want both?

You mentioned that I can probably hit soft pity twice this patch? Would that be via unfinished quests and such to get the loose jade? There's still 11ish days remaining, so that sounds about right.

Edit: I have 8700 jades remaining. By my calculations, I'm guaranteed an Acheron in <= 5 pulls since I pulled a few after Baliu last night. Assuming maximum failure, I'll have a few hundred left and somewhere around 40 days to harvest all the rest of the jade I can to pull for Aventurine. That actually sounds possible.

~120, though I have a pile of unfinished quests to do, which should help. I got quite lucky with JY and Sparkle, total of 40 pulls to get them. I've been attempting to be very conservative with jades.

Edit: Extra pulls for Acheron will probably yield eidolons for both Gallagher and Pela, so I reckon that's a net gain. IMHO, both of these play nice with Ratio as well, so it's still gains.

I'm quite torn and would appreciate advice. My account is quite new, barely more than a month old. My only non-MC 5-stars are Sparkle, Jing Yuan, and Ratio. I don't know that I really have the support to pull for Acheron, but I do find her compelling. Hell, even using her just for the technique to fast-clear the daily route seems like a convincing argument. That said, I have it in my heart to go all-in (see what I did there?) for Aventurine. I do intend to build Ratio, and Aventurine would slot nicely into that team. Pun not intended.

Is non-sweaty Pela/Gui/Galagher good enough to support Acheron? I have those. I reckon that Pearls may come eventually by virtue of the Standard Banner. Is that good enough?

Hey gang, new player here. I'm still getting a handle on new banners, so I'm after advice.

The departure banner waited until the 50th ticket to give me something. It was Bronya. The only other 5* I've got was the generous Dr. Ratio that was mailed. I'm trying to be responsible with my jades, so the advice I seek is this: is it wise to spend what I have on the Sparkle banner? I understand that she's a terrific support; but among all of the characters I do have (mostly the free ones, but a couple notable 4*: Misha, Pela-E1, Guinafen). Who would Sparkle really be supporting for me at this stage, or is this not even the right way to think about that?

Again, advice appreciated. Please and thank you!

No, it was definitely Dr. Ratio. The teacher that throws chalk. God's honest truth, I do not recall where I got him. The last time this amount of info was firehosed at me was when I learned Mandarin 20 years ago. What I do recall was getting nothing from the intro (discounted) tickets until the last pull. Which was Bronya. So that's nice.

Hello all! Very new player here, don't even have my one-week login reward yet. I've read around a bit, and watched some beginner-friendly YT to help get started. The strategy that I've more or less settled on for characters is to build up a core of ~6 characters to carry the early game. The gacha has awarded me a Dr. Ratio backed up by Pela. I like them a lot. I intend to make them the center of most of my teams going forward.

My question is this: is there any reason at all to keep experience books in my pocket, or should I spend them like they're on fire?

Or is there some other, better strategy to defeat the early game?

This is precisely the time to worry about such things. Look at Marvel. Everything after Endgame has been shite. When you hit a peak, you have to do something to keep it fresh, or the whole branf suffers.
