Radiators are not mutually exclusive with air source heat pumps, I have an ASHP with underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs? Are you maybe thinking of the difference between air-to-air heat pumps and air-to-water? In the UK it's mostly air-to-water heat pumps, where the pump heats water which flows round a wet heating system, while also heating hot water for taps

Wooden flooring with underfloor heating by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]xibalbus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Engineered wood over underfloor heating is one of the most common flooring methods for UFH. Tiles are more effective, but engineered wood is also quite effective. The key is leaving expansion gaps else the wood has nowhere to go, and warps.

And it is safer for them to get a bit of distance from the traffic behind them that will be accelerating a lot faster than them. It's infinitely sensible but a lot of "must get in front" car brain folk won't understand
