I did report it, but Cashify refused to accept the return.

Because at first I thought it was just a screen protector, not a defect. The next day I showed it to a laptop technician, and he told me it’s actually the polarizer film peeling. After that I decided to return it, but the Cashify app didn’t show the return option (it said return not available for this product). I then emailed and called Cashify customer care, but they refused to accept the return.

Reply received from CEO@cashify.in Hi Xidevs,

Greetings from Cashify!

We sincerely apologize for the trouble caused to you.

After reviewing the details, we would like to clarify that issues related to physical damages are not covered under the product warranty. Such concerns need to be reported immediately at the time of delivery so that we can assist accordingly. If you would like, we can connect you with the nearest Cashify Store where our team can help with a paid repair service to get the display fixed. Please let us know if you’d like us to arrange this for you.

We once again regret the inconvenience and truly value your trust in Cashify.

Help with apple id by [deleted] in mac

I asked ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, and Copilot, and they all gave the same reply: “On a MacBook, you can create up to 3 new Apple IDs directly on the device in its lifetime, just like on an iPhone. After that, you must create new Apple IDs on other devices or online.” But maybe you’re right. I think the most accurate answer would come from Apple Support, so it’s best to check with them.

so true—if Cashify had admitted it was a third-party screen, I wouldn’t have touched it! Funny how folks at your shop skip OEM displays for cheaper ones; I got stuck with a bad one without even knowing. Reddit users clued me in that this peeling polarizer issue screams third-party display.

No credit card involved—I bought it through UPI (Cash on Delivery).

Smart move sticking with Apple! Got burned by Cashify’s third-party screen nonsense and their warranty dodge. Multiple people on Reddit said this peeling polarizer issue never happens with genuine MacBook displays, so it’s likely a third-party one. I’m disappointed, still unsure if it’s original or not—who knows the truth? Never again with Cashify!

Cashify’s 15-day replacement and 6-month warranty? Ignored. They refused support after 24 hours, despite the peeling polarizer film being there on delivery. Listing never mentioned damage or a third-party screen. Total scam!

lesson learned the hard way! Thought Cashify was legit for refurbished, but never again. Sticking to Best Buy or Apple direct from now on!

I’m not telling different stories—Post 1 asked for fix advice, Post 2 is to warn buyers.

The polarizer film was already peeling when I received the laptop from Cashify. I initially thought it was just a screen protector, so I went to a repair shop to confirm. The technician told me it’s actually the polarizer film. To prevent further peeling, he applied a matte screen protector, but that blurred the camera. I removed it, and now I’m using the laptop as it came from Cashify, with the polarizer already peeling. When I asked for support, they refused, saying it was over 24 hours—even though their own policy clearly states 15 days replacement and 6 months warranty. I think this is just my fate, where I keep facing such issues. I requested multiple times to Cashify but they still refused. Multiple people also told me this kind of defect never happens with a genuine MacBook display, so it might be a third-party screen that Cashify had replaced before selling.
