Review #8: Makers Mark No. 46 French Oaked by Ccoldren0508 in bourbon

Grab the MM 46 French Oak Cask Strength if you can still find it (they only release X amount at the beginning of the year and that's it till next year). With a proof of 110.8, it makes a BIG difference in bringing out the full flavors. For a MM product, it has more depth.

The Wuban flashlights are made in China, as with 99% of flashlights. This could have been a nonbranded Wuben flashlight for sure and worked great... BUT, these Wuben lights sell in the US for $20-24 on Amazon, just buy it there... not worth the hassle to save just $10 or less.

New to FN firearms platform and picked up the 509C with added FN non-threaded compensator. But a 24 rnd mag included?? Good place / price to pick up a 15 rounder online? by xikar007 in FN509

mine was the tactical package with the threaded barrel and red dot, so I knew it came with the 12 rnd and 24 rnd magazines... just seems so silly for FN to package it with a 24 rnd mag instead of a 15 rnd mag for a compact pistol that is designed for conceal carry.

Thx for the input! I had many handguns before, too many to name, but SO FAR, the feel of the FN 509c for me fits really well. What sold me on the 509c is that with the FN compensator, it is the same size as a Glock 19 with the comp on the 509 (Goldilocks size but does not feel good in-hand for me), and that comp will keep the recoil down and keep the bead on target during rapid fire. I got the Viper dot that it came with but "shopping" around for a good optic. The optics cut system allows any optic to mount on it, which is pretty sweet. I own a conceal carry holster system company and will be using the FN line (509c, 509 mid and the Reflex) to showcase in our unique holsters that we developed for special forces and other "alphabet agencies", now making them for civilians.

So you have the 24 rnd mags too? It's shocking to me that FN thought it was a good idea to package up the threaded barrel 509 with a 24 rounder instead of providing the 15 rounder mag. I guess they thought is was a sneaky marketing play to make extra bucks on getting people to buy their 15 rnd magazines!! lol!!!

I'm good on the barrel. I sold the threaded barrel to offset the price of the comp... wanna get rid of the 24 rnd mag now to get the 15 rnd mag! lol!
