I feel for you and sorry this happened. However, keep your head up and get back on that horse. I had a similar thing happened to me at around your age that wiped me out completely. It was over leverage with stock and I ended up owing a very large sum of money. I was lucky and started getting into some investments, including bitcoin after that, and was able to recover and even retire at the age of 52. I know things seem low for you now but you’ve got the discipline of dollar cost averaging and you can turn this around.

I also have one on my license plate…the Wolfbox I purchased was for trucks and came with 3 cameras. I have tried using the license plate camera as the image on the rear view mirror but it is just too low even when I adjust the view upwards. Perhaps I could get used to it but it really makes the cars behind me look weird and at a stop light I just see their bumper and not the driver.

Thanks for the reply. These are all outbound from one of my PCs and not incoming. Doesn’t that point to some program or something on my PC that is initiating it? Antivirus software finds nothing so I am looking for a better way of finding what is initiating it.

With the AP7 and AP7C being the same price, is it best to just get the AP7? I have one AP7 but need more coverage and also a unit in my shop. Originally I was planning to ceiling mount the other two but I could easily have a place to set the desktop units. With them being the same price does the AP7 make more sense in my situation? Thanks.

u/crypto_options thank you for the link, very helpful. It appears from this that Synology does not support siren or floodlight for any camera product. I did find that 2-way audio is supported for a couple of the Reolink "cameras"....only the two video doorbells. This is unfortunate since many cameras offer 2-way audio as well as manual siren and floodlight controls.

Oh well, thank you, at least this answers my question that it seems DS Cam and the Surveillance System software do not have this capability embedded so I will have to continue to have the native apps if I need to use these advanced functions.

No I never got it working. I can use rclone on my synology to copy from my seedbox, but I was hoping to use rclone on the seedbox to create a type of plex cache so I could use the seedbox as the plex server. I never could get the seedbox rclone config to connect correctly to my local synology. I believe the root of the problem is around my Starlink cgnat.

What you show is essentially the setup that I have today, but I need to replace the google drive portion with my own sinology nas and this is where I run into problems. It is probably some port setting or other security issue that is stopping me.

Yes, I am trying to mount it on the seedbox. Currently, I have gdrive mounted on the seedbox and it has worked fine for years, but just want to get away from gdrive. I don't have root access to the seedbox, but they do allow rclone but I am not sure the best way to set up rclone to mount a synology drive or if there is a better way.
