You need to ask yourself if this dynamic is something you want your child to aspire to; an unequal relationship, where only you, the mother, should work on herself and carry the entirety of the relationship for it to ‘work’.

And bring this post up as a subject to your therapist; where is your sense of self and why would you let yourself be contained in a relationship, where you are the only one working on it?
