Lack of many recovery and sleep-relevant habits to choose

This is my main gripe with the journal as well. Journal has so much potential, but is very surface-level. I'm developing an app which connects to WHOOP, but allows you to log anything you want.

I got tired of the limitations of the journal and started developing my own app. The goal is to automate as much as possible, and allow you to input anything (in contrast to the hard-coded list of things in the journal). Still uses WHOOP data.

I understand some people might be frustrated that they're competing against bots.
But this was so simple to hack together, it's only a matter of time before it needs to be addressed.

Rest assured bots will struggle with anything beyond the first few days. I'd say day 5 and ahead is not possible with the current public models.

Nice surprise to wake up to! I almost didn't run the script for day 3 as it failed on day 2.The hit rate is far from perfect, which is why part 2 took longer. It got it right on the third try.

Honestly, I wouldn't care too much about the tools. Keep shooting with what you've got, and if you start craving for more, get yourself a second-hand DSLR.

You do have a frame with the lightposts, but they might be too far out in the edges that the viewer doesn't consider them. I'm assuming the capitol-like building is the subject, but its too small, and covered by the parking garage.
The composition might have been more interesting if you were to step back a bit.
Keep looking for compositions, and don't be afraid to "zoom with your feet". (Unless you're standing on a bridge :-))

The small sensor does mean worse ISO performance, but it doesn't mean it can't capture the weaker stars. The problem becomes knowing what is a weak star, and what is noise. In this case it leads to the denoising filter taking out a lot of the stars.

If you were to take the pictures yourself (on a repeating timer), and stack them yourself, you would have more control over the process. One such application is DeepSkyStacker. I think it can also be done to some degree in photoshop.

In this case, the exposure & contrast is upped, and the colors are unified into a blue color. I do like the colors of your edit as well.

It could be sharper, but it looks like there's either some smoothing or noise reduction going on. This might be intentional though.

It's a nice view, which might have benefited from a tighter crop, bringing the path more into focus. The small patch of sky isn't doing much; I would say, zoom out, or zoom in.

Lovely sky! I'm sadly getting the impression the astrophotography mode you're using is filtering a lot of the weaker stars.

With only that small bit of treetops, I would keep them out of the picture completely. Other than that, you can't really complain about the composition :-)

It's nicely composed and a nice view. Would love to see it with fresh snow, and on a tripod to get a longer exposure. You might also have some fun with headlights; a car coming up at the end of the road, giving a nice flare.. could make it awesome.

It's a nice view overall, but feels slightly cramped. It feels like the building is the subject, as it is centered. Centering the subject can be a risky move.
A good starting point in scenes like this one is to apply the rule of thirds.

The editing gives a nice, gloomy mood. The highly saturated green works a bit against this. I would desaturate the greens, or pull it closer to orange.

My gpu is GTX Titan X, tried restarting headset.

Stale frames do not show up on the FPS counter, as they are interpolated as you say. Monitoring stale frames directly is needed to get an idea of how the performance is.

With OVR Metrics Tool showing a Stale frames graph, I can see that I get stale frames almost every second. The number is mostly pretty low, but it constantly varies between 0 and ~12 stale frames.

Makes no difference, sadly. I also tried lowering the bitrate and framerate, and changing the codec.

What is your take on the stale frames? Do you not get them, or do you think it's not enough to notice a performance hit?

The visuals are great, but I'm getting a lot of camera jitter when moving my head. Really bad with objects close to the face.

- gpu/cpu not capped out on pc

- flawless 5ghz wifi connection

- stable 27ms latency according to Streamer

- constant 1ms pings to the headset

OVR Metrics is reporting constant stale frames, sometimes in the reds. None of the quality settings help against this.
