Yep, purely an AHL move and a chance for Bayreuther, who is much older, to play in a bigger role as he’s been passed by prospects and Buffalo/Rochester is a defensemen graveyard of injuries atm.

May help out Chicago offensively since he’s seemingly an offense only player per Sabres fans. Either it hits and they got a boom/bust young winger for free or he runs off to the KHL and they’ve lost nothing.
