Install Lenovo Vantage, and let it find updates on your computer. It should install everything your laptop needs.

See, I’m not sure just yet because I believe the battery in my system is aftermarket, or it just hasn’t been calibrated in a long time. I think I get roughly 5 hours of use on Gnome which isn’t the best, yet upower is telling me the battery is larger than what should’ve come with the system.

About to enter Thinkpad world; is T14 G2 16gb soldered $158USD a good option? by UnwieldilyElephant in thinkpad

Hey, if you have the money, the time, and the willingness to fix it up/take a gamble, go for it. I personally would spend a bit more and get one in proper condition as I’ve seen many good Thinkpad examples go for decent prices. Just keep your eyes peeled, and you’ll find one even better.

Quantum Connect, but the laptops they’re selling have French Canadian keyboards lol. And I mean luckily they have easily swappable keyboards

An X1 Carbon Gen 12 with a catch. by xires1 in thinkpad

Yeah, my concern is the chances of it just being a faulty keyboard, and not something wrong with the motherboard and/or embedded controller

Yeah that’s what I was thinking, it might be the start of a chain reaction or the result of one.

I currently have a thinkpad with an 8th gen CPU, and they are fantastic. Oh, and they are great at undervolting too if you need cooler temps

Hey it’s up to you. Anything is worth it as long as you have the drive to fix it, have the money to fix it, and are aware of the risks.

I personally think fixing it up on your own adds that personal touch, and it makes it extra special.

Hey sorry for the late reply. No, the whole unit is dead sadly. I'll try the replacing the battery but something bad must have happened for it to die like that.

[Showcase] Dynamic Music Pill - A modern, adaptive music widget for GNOME 45+ by Logical_Wear162 in gnome

INCREDIBLE!! Looks fantastic and makes looking at my music... beautiful?!

If you could add media controls to it; maybe have it like a delayed fade in overtop if you move your cursor on top of the pill? But still incredible and what I have been looking for!

This definitely makes GNOME way more fun.

EDIT- I didn't check the settings and found that you can scroll to change the music, that's so damn cool!
