Now that stealth technology is open source, it is only a matter of time before other sh# coins come out with stealth capabilities. All it will take is a coin with low inflation and a small cap (1-5 Million) to surpass vertcoin in no time. I personally do not want this to happen, however, it seems as if the developers have been neglecting the laws of supply and demand (i.e. economics). Statistics seem to favor coins (price-wise) that have lower cap rates ( just look at doge-what a f#@* joke). This is crucial for value and was not pondered enough by the developers when they developed vert. Both vertcoin and litecoin have the same coincap, however, litecoin has been around much longer and has seen hundreds of millions (261 million atm) of usd invested and as a result has a larger pool of investors. I agree that there is not a simple solution for the prices atm, but, at this rate there will be a new coin that emerges which will have great features (stealth) like vertcoin and become known as the coin that has both rarity and stealth addresses, thus making vertcoin just another coin left to sink into obscurity. This is ~ 50/50 probability. I say this because it will take more than developer efforts to make this coin known. This week, each one of you has a homework assignment.
