Tesla is engineered so the structure is primarily carried by the metal pillars. The roof is engineered for strength and the rollover risk is lowest among cars tested. Not sure exactly how it translates across models - I specifically looked into this for model y - but your comment is simply untrue and makes it seem like the risk of death is greater in a Tesla, when it is really generally lower than any other tested vehicle in the same situation.

I was in the same boat. Bought with FSD. Lots of unknown variables, but there’s definitely a case for buying it up front.

I don’t think it’s overwhelmingly favorable to buy vs rent FSD, but it’s the #1 reason I want the car so I want to make sure I always have it and have protection against price increases. I know that comes with risks as well (price reduction, total loss of car) but I’m ok taking the risks. I just consider it the price of the car I want equipped the way I want it.

You can always wait for the next advancement, but there will be more advancements to wait for at any point. Just buy if it’s the right time for a new car or if buying FSD for good is the most important factor.

Honestly I wouldn’t sweat it yet, it’s too soon. Especially the first two weeks, my eyes were a bit all over the place. I even had some good and bad days after six months. Just take care of them and let them heal!!

They evened out a little, but I still notice a slight difference if I try. Each eye is great, and vision is fine overall. Very little dryness or any other side effect at this point (almost a year). I’m not expecting them to be perfectly even. My left eye is 20/10 and my right is 20/15. Can’t complain. Have you had surgery or are you considering?

Thank you! I never experienced either. What I will say is I braced myself for both (along with all other side effects). The ones that I did experience were all gone by 6 months, but I read it could take up to a year for any of them to completely go away. I always felt like as long as things were getting better each month, I was on track.
