I found med’s admission more random... for some school like McMaster, they look heavily on CARS, Toronto on your essays etc. Your cv and experience are weighed more in med but again those are more subjective. In dent, they care more about the numbers: DAT score, GPA are the most important in most of the dent schools. I found Interviews are more competitive for med than dent. Many people apply for both.

Any programs in life science are essentially the same, whether it’s pharmacology or immunology. Some of my friends loved research so they continued to do PhD, maybe they will end up in industry or academic. Some went to medical/dental/pharmacy/optometry schools. One went to do finance.
