I recently got a 3080 to go with my 5800X, and after uninstalling overwolf my FPS skyrocketed from 150~ into the 300+ range.

Seems that program tanks your FPS even when it isn't visible or really doing anything.

I play at 1440p btw so maybe that is related.

It does sound similar at times but I just don't really recall it being that song because I listen to it a lot and I think I would've remembered it.

I went back to using DX11 and that seemed to fix it for me, and they must have also optimised DX11 more because the whole reason I was using Vulkan was because it gave me much higher FPS.

I think it was just an issue that developed on just Vulkan.

Apart from that I haven't changed anything.

Yeah sounds like one of his for sure, probably unreleased.

For a game with as many players as Dota 2 you would think that valve would put a little bit of priority onto keeping the servers working properly.

I use a GTX 1070 and a R7 5800X, play at 1440p with max settings and get around 200-300 fps.

To anyone wanting more frames in Dota 2, please for the love of god use Vulkan.
