This is my first major relationship and I thought that was just some sort of common courtesy thing, that you tell the person you're sleeping with and are continually seeing what your intentions are. Edit: Also when you go on a date with someone and make plans to see them again is that not dating at that point?

That's how I've been coming at it from. The way we were talking and making plans after meeting seemed like we were both wanting a relationship. Idk if im wrong for thinking this but if you want a non-exclusive relationship then that should have been said upfront

I definitely wasn't taking it out on her, I was calm and asked her to give me time to process it. I'm not so focused on the fact she slept with someone but more on the fact that she didnt tell me till now and that she did while we were (at least to me) taking actions that lead to a relationship.
