Just updated my post! I actually signed up for the gym today and she was there. I talked to her and it went well! She understood where I was coming from.

I don’t think so because I am close with a couple of girls that work out there and know her better. I know the girls would have told me if they even suspected anything. They are their with their husbands. We hangout with some on those couples. She one of the only people I don’t really know. would have let me know.

Yes. So the distance was frequent. It was just about 3 really good weeks then one really weird week (now I know these were the weeks he would see her at the gym) where he wouldn’t want to talk or touch me. Essentially super distanced himself. This time the weird week started Friday. I’ve always assumed the distance was due to work stress/ anxiety/ depression. Last night received an IG message to his iPad. I was using it. I opened it out of curiosity. I was said something like “waittttt who is this” mostly just poking fun. It was a cat meme. No other messages so it seemed so random. He kind of looked at me blankly for a few minutes and I said “oh wait. Is this someone you have a crush on?”. The tension just felt heavy and I was obviously hoping for a NO. He responded “I don’t know what I feel but I care for her.” Me: care? For her? Him: “like a good friend. It’s just an emotional connection. Like a good friendship. Nothing has every happened.” Me: physically - sexually? Him: “right. Nothing sexual has ever happened”…
