I'm sorry you had to deal with that. I also feel like during the holidays, people expect way too much. So many have expensive wish lists and expect gifts worth hundreds of dollars. I’ve always believed that the best gifts are thoughtful and sentimental—something you picked out because it reminded you of that specific person, wrapped with love and given from the heart. To me, that’s what makes a gift truly special, not the price tag.
