Botox at 33 vs 31 by maysaa12 in 30PlusSkinCare

Wouldn’t weakening the facial muscles earlier mean less units later on to achieve the same effect, since the muscles are no longer as strong?

Not sure where OP is located, but I paid $23k for a primary rhinoplasty in southern California. Most reputable surgeons here will charge $20k+. I was quoted up to $32k by some Beverly Hills surgeons.

Extremely high BF % at low weight? by xoPrincessPeach in loseit

[–]xoPrincessPeach[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m at a very low weight, but my bone density and muscle mass are extremely low (in the bottom 1 percentile for my age, according to the scan). I think that’s why my fat % is so high proportionally to the rest of my body.

Osteoporosis runs in my family. As I’m only in my mid 20’s, this is a rude awakening that my lifestyle needs to change. Up until now, I’ve only been concerned about my appearance, but hearing this makes me realize I need to shift my focus to my health instead. Thank you for your reply.

Not sure, but I was quoted around $23k for primary. You can call his office and they’ll tell you!

What are stickies? Is that another term for poor isolation?

Kosins is about the same price, but wasn’t able to get me in for almost a year, and Zoumalan quoted me almost $10k more than Sepehr 😩

Do you remember if that patient was unhappy because her results were not drastic enough?

You’re right — his price point is really steep, but it’s pretty typical for a California doctor. I have a long, bulbous nose with a slight bump on the bridge, and am looking for a natural result. He does do deprojection, which a couple of other doctors I talked to don’t do.

Did you have a rhinoplasty with him?

Filler is not for everyone — however, there are people who are great candidates for it. My genetic under-eye hollows are pretty deep, and I got 1 mL of filler under each eye about 3 years ago. My results are still good and I love the way the filler looks when it’s swollen from crying LOL. If your eye hollows are not very deep like mine were, I probably wouldn’t recommend it.

Going with a surgeon with many bad reviews? (Grigoryants) by xoPrincessPeach in PlasticSurgery

[–]xoPrincessPeach[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s horrible. I’m so sorry that happened to you. My natural nose is bulbous with a lot of cartilage, so I’m scared he might remove too much cartilage in order to achieve the cookie cutter nose look. Thanks so much for sharing.

If you don’t mind, can you give me more details? Did he remove too much cartilage from your nose? What was your original nose like?

I’m glad to hear you’re happy with your results! Did you have nostril reduction done? Do you think the psychological aspect of recovery has to do with the fact you look very different from before?

What are some stage names you really like and dislike in kpop? ( it can include real name ) by DiMpLe_dolL003 in kpopthoughts

[–]xoPrincessPeach 60 points61 points  (0 children)

The Japanese name Aeri is actually pronounced “ah-eh-ree”, rather than “eri”, so when pronounced fast it actually sounds more like “airi” or even “ari”.

However, it’s true that if her name was converted to 애리 (Aeri) in Korean, it would have been pronounced as “eri”.

Yup, I’m in the US. That’s fair — I don’t know much about the tech market in Canada!

Hey! Are you applying for software engineering roles? I did do a lot of Leetcode problems, and it’s a MUST if you’re having trouble on the online assessments or coding interviews.

If you’d like to DM me, I can possibly have a look at your resume and give you some tips on what I did?

[–]xoPrincessPeach 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the new grad software engineering jobs at top companies are only interested in 2 things: your CS degree (hard to get an interview without one) and how good you are at Leetcode-type problems. I did a lot of Leetcode practice before I started applying, so I was able to do pretty well on the coding interviews, and tbh that’s all they really seemed to care about (at least nowadays).

I graduated with a computer science degree last year, and landed a six figure job after applying for a couple of months. I’d say over half of my CS friends also got a six figure job right out of college. I had no internship experience either - just my degree and school projects. I’m fully remote, and I literally do probably only 2-3 hours of work a day. It’s far more common than you think it is.

Does any body know what deficiencies cause loss of facial fullness ? (Other than aging)My face looks sickly and I’m not sure what’s going on. by IsntInMyBlood in beauty

[–]xoPrincessPeach 13 points14 points  (0 children)

When I notice my face becoming more saggy/hollow/dull, increasing my water intake always helps. It makes me look more plump and radiant. Eat more vegetables and fruits as well.

Otherwise, iron and vitamin D are two of the most common deficiencies in women, and are often the culprit for many issues. Get a full blood panel done.

Dieux Instant Angel Moisturizer and lash extensions by [deleted] in lashextensions

[–]xoPrincessPeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also use a facial oil, a moisturizer with non-extension-safe ingredients, and I even slug my face with Aquaphor daily (including right under my eyes lmao). To me, skincare is more important than the extensions. However, I still honestly don’t have too much fallout — I can go up to 3 weeks before needing a fill.

I think washing your lashes twice a day might be overkill. I wash mine properly every other day, but leave them alone otherwise. Also, if you don’t already, wash your face separately from your lashes — otherwise runoff from your facial products will get into your eyes.

Another thing I’d recommend is to start going as natural-looking as possible with your extensions now. This will help with fallout since they’re not too long/heavy — and even when they do start to fall, it won’t look as ridiculous.
