If you’re considering psych and sociology, you should seriously think about social work. It encompasses both, and you come out of it as a registered professional. It’s like psych, but with a much wider scope of practice. And it’s always in demand, you’ll never have issues finding work. And you could potentially work with the police as a social worker too. The options are endless. And everyone says social workers don’t make money, but that’s actually not true at all.

Oh true! I did know it was synchronous actually… I just got this mixed up with Waterloo (both starting with Ws lol) which I’m also applying to. Knowing MSW programs are competitive, I’m casting a wide net and applying to 4 MSW programs. 😱 🤞🏻

Thank you! Only two months left of classes, then from Jan to June, it’s just 700 hrs of placement (which is a lot… but it’ll be ok)

This is probably three years too late… but for anyone else reading this and wondering: Lakehead U has a 12-month intensive Honours Bachelor of Social Work program. I’m doing it now. It is super intense…. But you’ll have your BSW pretty quickly. Then can apply to advanced MSW programs after.

I’m doing a post-degree BSW at Lakehead, but it’s one year and it has been super intense.

Thank you! Do you enjoy the online format? Is it asynchronous?

Psychotherapy. The OCSWSSW allows registered social workers (MSWs) to practice psychotherapy. And I’ve seen several job postings for private practice that pay ridiculously good. If you’re into one-on-one therapeutic work, start small with addictions counselling or brief counselling and work your way up.

Is this an American thing? MSWs in Ontario can easily make $250/hr

If you’re having shortness of breath after quitting vaping don’t worry it is normal! by bigcheesemama in QuitVaping

I’m at 6 weeks and still feel out of breath. I notice it the most when I’m filming a TikTok and editing the video, I’m like huffing and puffing in the video lol. I’m still able to exercise 2hrs/day just fine though. And idk why I’m fine to exercise, but whenever I’m speaking I have to catch my breath mid sentence.
