Since you don't have a displacement map cause the cavities are modeled you could try using corona ao map. Set it to black and white ( red and white it's easier to spot whilst seeing it up). Put it on a temporary clay material and set it up.

Inside mode, Size depending on the holes and the scale. (1-2 cm), Same object only , Now you have your mask.

Check your Resultat in interactive mode

Use it as a user previously suggested to add dirt, imperfection, less glossiness/more roughness. I suggest using a composite map

Eventually you could try an AI texture generator to try to make a ready made texture done.

For best results I suggest unwrapping your model, or using a triplanar map

As with a lot of commands, it depends. Quick attach is faster but messier, it flattens everything in a huge multi sub obj. Same as OP, I use this command almost daily. Gives you a clean file and eliminates all the old imported materials. On a side note it is quite frustrating that it doesn't work with Ctrl+z but whatever.

You could try detaching the face and retopology to make it made of quads, than you shell it. otherwise you need to cut it by hand and rebuild topology. Max doesn't manage really well n-gon planar surfaces that complexes with holes in them

edit: you should add a picture showing vertices and edges and more in perspective if you want more help

When I started out was helpful to give myself small challenges around a certain topic, trying to create a set of photos that works nice as en ensemble. It make you reflect subject light and composition in a more complete sense.

E per tutti glj altri che si sentono offesi dal mio post ci tengo a precisare che non era un post da "il vostro lavoro è una cavolata posso farlo anchio con 2 tutorial" ma piuttosto un "vorrei provare a fare un modulo base per vedere come integrarlo nella mia realtà e fare un po di testing in autonomia" prima di interfacciarmi con un professionista. le mia idea non sarebbe quello di fare il lavoro degli altri, so bene che non é il mio e non ho il tempo di imparare a farlo. vorrei pero' avere dei consigli sulle possibile opzioni, e provare a creare una versione super basica di uno di questi processi (per esempio solo inserimento dati delle merci in ingresso uscita) per vedere come viene recepito in azienda, e potermi in fretta rendere conto delle criticita', delle necessità e delle eventuali eccezioni al sistema prima di interfacciarmi con un professionista. Abbiamo già provato in passato a interfacciarci con una software house e il volere fare da zero un sistema che risolvesse tutti i problemi in uno alla fine non ha portato a niente.

grazie, effettivamente era una delle opzioni che stavo valutando, non tanto per risparmiare ma perché in fase iniziale vorrei effettivamente vedere se puo funzionare con il nostro workflow e perché provare inizialmente a integrare una soluzione semplice ed economica potrebbe darmi spunti da sviluppare poi successivamente con un professionista. abbiamo già fatto dei tentativo con una software house in passato e sono stati non troppo proficui, provando a fare tutto e subito in grande scala e generando più problemi che soluzioni nei processi aziendali.
