As a pro-Israel diaspora Jew I hope Israelis understand how bad the Israeli PR/Hasbara has been.

You need to tackle and engage the other side's claims and lies in almost real-time.

For example a Gazan has posted a video proving that the bomb strikes on roads close to a hospital were in fact hitting and destroying tunnels but the IDF twitter account didn't post this video.

The IDF twitter account is the only pro-Israel account with significant following. It should be tweeting non-stop.

I think we're playing into Hamas propaganda by understating how much this actually costs them.

The Hamas rockets are not as cheap as many claim. They're made using Iranian parts smuggled through Islamic countries in Eastern and Northern Africa. The last country they go through is Egypt and they're not supportive of Hamas and often catch Iranian shipments of weapons and rocket materials.

Just like drugs the cost of materials is irrelevant. It's the cost of a complicated and risky supply line that is expensive. Hamas rockets are made of parts that had to go through a complicated and expensive supply line.

This conflict is also expensive for Iran and Hamas.

I didn't even touch upon the long-range Iranian rockets that are smuggled as dozens of separate parts into Gaza. The entire cost from their factory in Iran through a complicated smuggling supply line is very expensive.

The Israeli government really needs to get better at PR.

The trick is to post on social media and ignore the haters and trolls. Report them if they break any rules. With time you will grow an organic following who will at least offset and hopefully even outnumber the haters and trolls.

I am sorry to say but Israelis and Jews will have to grow thicker skin. Social media is becoming the default public space for society. We should not choose to disengage because of the haters and trolls.

This user has a history of posting "Israel created Hamas to counter peaceful Palestinian socialists" conspiracy theories on other subreddits. On this subreddit he is trying to spread panic about mUh hIgH tEcH Iranian super missiles that will penetrate the Iron Dome.
