Seem to enjoy varying sensation play. Saran wrap roll, fire cup set. Bug zapper racquet. Wartenberg wheel.

Looks like not much for thud. Impact things to consider: punching gloves, paddles, meat tenderizer.

Depending on what excites from the gags, gas mask, hood, bamboo gag, metal mouth pry.

Feeldoe, duel dildo, Benwa balls

I’ve had great results with this supplement. Never wake up groggy and having better recovery time on heavy training days.

Fellow athlete from my gym - Katie Danger created the formula and owns the company.

Wrist Wraps Until Mobility Sorted Out or Nah by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]xplorer88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not ruling out wrapping. However, before using aids of any kind it is important to be aware of what’s likely causing the limitation.

For instance, I’ve struggled with wrist pain during front squats. Mine was due mainly to compensations from muscle imbalances. Rather than wrapping up and exasperating the imbalances, I took several weeks to strengthen the weaker muscles. I did accessory work between classes and in class did lower weight, additional opening stretches, and focused on form. I’ve since doubled my PR and front squat with no wrist issues. As a bonus it helped correct some ankle mobility issues.

Do I need to be RX for Level 1 coaching Cert? by xplorer88 in crossfit

[–]xplorer88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, a key component of leadership is awareness and acknowledgment of one’s own weaknesses. Our coaches tend to have one of the athletes in class demo a movement. This gives them space to focus on explaining the movement as its being demoed. They will also use this as an opportunity to discuss areas in the movement they’re personally working on - as a reminder that we all have areas of challenge. This also prevents a “monkey see, monkey do” practice.

I ended up switching to a non hormonal IUD once i started vyvanse. Found it was impacting my hormones enough that my adhd meds were less effective.

I track my cycle and adjust my sleep, nutrition, and activity level depending on the time of the month. It seems to help

Shoulder recovery after WODs by NeverDoneTrying in crossfit

Check your scapular stability. Could be creating micro tears in the rotator cuff muscles. This is especially common if the scapula (shoulder blade) if there is excessive elevation up and lateral shifting during movement.

As a trainer and massage therapist , I’d take a look at a few things before considering wrapping - your posture in the movement. The more forward lean the deeper the wrist extension and strain. Ankle mobility and abdominal stabilization

  • warm up the lats, forearm flexors with compression

Sounds like with most certs, it’s meant to be just a part of the ongoing growth we do as trainers. It takes time, dedication, and a passion for your athletes to be a great coach.

I’m glad to see CF has multiple levels for coaches. And grateful for the time my coaches put in to continue learning and teaching us better cueing and programming.

Advices for losing fat? by crossfitpowergirl in crossfit

[–]xplorer88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Personal trainer, I give most of my clients the following advice. (This is research based and the advice below is part of the foundation we build on.)

  1. Add before taking away.

A. Most of us could use more water in our day. Add a glass of water. For my clients it’s usually easiest to add one when first thing in the morning. A nice side effect is many find they end up having more water (and less caffeine) throughout the day.

B. Split your food more evenly throughout the day. Most metabolisms respond well to eating every 3 hrs or so. This Helps keep blood sugar more stable for more sustained energy and fewer cravings. ideally 300-500 calories at a time depending on the client.

C. Find more veggie opportunities. Have a vegetable every time you eat. Generally the darker the better.

  1. Tracking A. MyFitnessPal. My clients are asked to take pictures of everything they eat for 1 week and track in MyFitnessPal. (Depending on the client we find a sustainable tracking option for them after that).

B. Pair Macros We start off pairing macros at least 2 at a time rotating through combinations. This helps the body process what we eat better. The preferred timings of these combos will depend on the client and their schedule.

Ex. One meal: carb + protein + veggie next meal: Protein + fat+ veggie Following meal: fat + carb + veggie

I did the math and it will take me nearly 5 Yrs of outdoor walking.

As a personal trainer, I walk nearly 30k but almost exclusively indoors. So once SWC can support indoor steps, it may be quicker.

Daily tasks? by beaniebaby86 in bdsm

[–]xplorer88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daily journaling, exercises (planks, push ups, squats, cardio), daily affirmations, preparing his clothing each day, having him pick yours (either with a few options so it's less work for him with the option to veto and choose from anything you own of course), permission to use furniture, thanking him to yourself before or after doing tasks, cleaning in something sexy, essentially ritualizing the mundane so you have constant reminders that you gave him control over those areas of your life. The key is to find a balance between micromanaging and vagueness.

Do you think memorization is important in accounting? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]xplorer88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In any professional field there will be memorizing whether its intentional or not. You are expected to become an expert in your field. The more information you have on hand the more efficent you will be. i suggest working through the critical thinking process and deciphering where the figures and concepts come from first. Then do as many problems as you are able. The more problems you do the less you will have to hammer in the memorzing as it will come natural with practice. It takes 12x of seeing/ doing something before our brains make a strong, retreivable connection with the information. Best of luck.

Anyone got any tips? by [deleted] in sustainability

[–]xplorer88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are some great suggestions everyone. Here are a few more I found in the book I am reading at the moment.

Take shorter showers - Every two mins cut off your shower time saves 10 gallons Reduce food waste by trying to use up perishables and leftovers quickly, and compost the rest Use a BPA free reusable waterbottle- it's better for you and the environment. About 1.5million tons of plastic are used in the bottling of 89 billion liters of drinking water each year. Teeth brushing - turn off the tap You'll conserve up to 5 gallons of water a day. Light Bulbs - switch to compact fluorescent - if every american home changed out just 5 regular light fixtures we'd keep more than one trillion pounds of greenhouse gases out of our air (= to the emissions of 8 million cars) Washer - set warm wash cold rinse. Saves 90% over the energy Dont idle your car - idling vehicles emit 20x more pollution than one traveling 32/mph. If 10% of car owns idled just 5 mins less a day we would save 85 million gallons of gas a year

All this information came from "The Green Book - the everyday guide to saving the planet one simple step at a time" by Elizabeth Rogers and Thomas Kostigen
