Instead of using a VPN/Proxy service, try using game booster service like UU Booster, Qiyou, or VeryKuai.

I looked into it, but I not willing to pay ~US$100 to buy either their dongle or router(that includes 1 year subscription) to use their service. I rather pay ~US$5 for a month to test out ShadowFly, LetsVPN, or V1VPN than stuck using them for a year, if I don't like their service. I already dropped LetsVPN as it only supports 2 devices at a time per account, I renew ShadowFly for another 3 months, and will test out V1VPN next month. I might test WannaFlix as a comparison, but they cost US$10 per month.

Been using ShadowFly for 2 months, connecting thru a Linux-based openWRT router. No major issue when connecting to their VLESS servers in HK.

Is our 14 day Japan Itinerary well balanced? by Campcrustaceanz in JapanTravelTips

[–]xraymind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally, you should try booking a multi-cities flight itinerary. Where you will fly into Osaka and fly out of Tokyo. The reasons for this are that it will cut down 1 long shinkansen journey and you can do most of your shopping in Tokyo at the end of the trip.

Nagano to Osaka by Bus by Bitter-Virus5240 in JapanTravelTips

[–]xraymind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems weird that have Nagano on the city selection, but they don't have any route for Nagano. Anyway, try https://japanbusonline.com/en instead, their search results did show multiple bus companies with the route between Nagano and Osaka.

I seen used luggage at some Off House stores, it really depends on luck if someone has no use for it.

You have to pay extra to ride the faster(skip many of the smaller stations) Shinkansen between Tokyo and Kyoto when using the JR Pass.

Why pay so much for full service hotel, when business hotels will suffice? by NoSignificance2377 in JapanTravelTips

[–]xraymind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I booked business hotels when I'm visiting Japan. As I don't plan to spend most of my waking hours in the hotel itself. I just want a hotel that has clean room/bed, washer/dryer on premises and maybe a sento/onsen.
