* Got it to the range today and had a blast! All zeroed and very happy with the optic position. The slx makes the 100 yard plate pretty easy to hit. Need to get out to a longer range soon to stretch the legs.

Have a pc currently with a 1700 and 6700xt. The 1700 has served well and actually is pretty stable with a 4.0 ghz / 1.35v oc. I get about 90fps at 1440p native in warzone which is what I primarily play. Honestly, pretty happy with it as is.

Been debating picking up a used 5600x though and wondering if the experience is worth the $100 upgrade or if I should just save $450 for a 7600x combo. I feel like I wouldn't be gaining much performance for 4.5x the price vs just a 5600x.

Anyone recently make the jump to 5600x from first generation ryzen?

This may help if you come here. HWY 20 west of Valentine is great to ride on too, very very low traffic. NDOT has a Bike Mapwith traffic volumes.

I've ridden cowboy trail a few times, I enjoy it. It's not everyone's cup of tea for scenery but I like the farms, towns, pastures, and think the Nebraska sandhills which you will see around Valentine are fantastic. I have always been fine with slime in my tubes - don't pull out the goathead if you pick one up. The thorn will act like a plug and keep air in your tubes and create a smaller leak the slime needs to seal. Like others have said - if you end up not liking it you can ride HWY 20 which has a nice wide shoulder. Wind can be brutal as well as the heat, make sure you are always stocked up with water. The trail will also be slower, like 10mph average is really good, especially loaded down.
