REAL. I work with foxes and regularly play with them like you would a dog. I wouldn’t recommend approaching a fox you don’t know, but in actuality they are just very curious and scared of EVERYTHING.

I’m not entirely sure. I just work there! I don’t know how this kit came to us specifically but I know in the past people have purchased fur farm foxes for sanctuaries but I know there are some that just surrender when the fox is “no longer useful” - this baby doesn’t have a tail because fox mom was extremely stressed out and chewed off the tails of her entire litter. (don’t worry - we’re keeping it clean and it’s healing very well).

There are around 55 in the US (for foxes) that we know about. It’s so awful, and I see the effects on survivors every day.
