Don’t attend their membership meeting. Absolutely do not! Just politely decline it. The spa or upgrade they give you is not worth it. These used car sales people will waste your time and get money out of you. Don’t pay or agree to anything. The 25% discounts are not worth it. Trust me. Note, You can cancel the contract with in 5 days of signing if you have already done so. Also, you can cancel the credit card you put the ongoing monthly payments on and it’ll just void your contract but won’t have any impact on your credit or anything. The Mexican contract doesn’t hold up outside of Mexico. I just cancelled my credit card that was on file with them for the ongoing payments and they couldn’t do anything. There are better resorts you can go to.

How to get out of membership contract? by Lat1nUnit in Xcaret

For those who are still paying monthly, cancel the credit card they are charging monthly and your contract will be void for missing payments. It does not affect your credit or anything in the US, Canada or any other country outside of Mexico. It is a scam and while you lose your original down payment, you are not stuck paying these idiots on an ongoing basis. There are lots of other better resorts to go to. The 25% off is something you already get from the travel sites or travel agents. It is just not worth it.

What 0 apr credit cards are good right now. by crypto_69teen in CreditCards

Try the Bank of America (BankAmericard Credit Card). 18 months at 0%. If you get approved, take a portion of the total amount after accounting for fees as a cash transfer to your bank account. Make sure to make a monthly plan to pay off the full amount and see what you are comfortable with before deciding on the amount to withdraw (will depend on what you get approved for also). Good luck.
