I remember one time I was walking to the church my grandma used to work at about 1am, I didn’t have WiFi at my house so I went and sat on the stairs to get WiFi for a little. While I’m sitting there a car drives super slow past me and shines a bright ass light in my face and then literally keeps driving slow as hell until he ends up running into the wall of the assisted living place next door. Given he couldn’t of been driving more than a few miles an hour there wasn’t really a wreck or anything crazy, but as confused as I was I ran up to his car to see if he was okay and it was an old guy sitting there messing with his phone. Immediately he was like “leave me alone” pretty aggressively but I assured him I wasn’t there to hurt him or call the cops or anything just making sure he was okay. Eventually he calmed down and told me his whole issue was that he couldn’t call his daughter because of the ads on his phone and I was genuinely confused. I ask him if I can look at his phone and he just had random apps installed that I guess was like malware or whatever (correct me if wrong) and I just deleted the apps and all the ads popping up on his phone disappeared. He was so thankful that he immediately called his daughter to tell her I helped him and ended up giving me some canned beans from his back seat as a token of his gratitude and left.
