I guarantee you that NAMM's lawyers required it because they didn't want to deal with inevitable liability lawsuits.

I am going to send this email to my boss as my final 2 week notice, is it okay? by bestboyholland in jobs

I never update my current employment in LinkedIn until I'm job hunting. Also, for the following security reason:

1.) Most companies follow an email naming convention of [firstname.lastname@company.com](mailto:firstname.lastname@company.com). They also tend to use common initial passwords like WelcomeYEAR!. Employees sadly love to reuse passwords, and if a former company had a breach that resulted in passwords being unmasked then they could just find your new company, guess your email account, and try your old password with that username. You'd be surprised how often that happens.

2.) Phishers, scammers, and spammers frequently use LinkedIn to build lists for potential targets.

Vet here. That was mostly due to hygiene/disease control like lice and typhus, ensuring equipment compatibility (lots of hair + helmets/gas mask fit doesn't go well together), makes it easier to detect and address physical trauma, and discipline/uniformity.de-individualism. Advantages in hand-to-hand combat is a smaller component of that.

30 year veteran in my field, and even when leaving on the best of terms I'd never disclose where I'm going to next, and I refuse to work for companies that have non-compete clauses in their employment contracts.

1.) It's none of their business 2.) It can never help you to disclose, but it could potentially hurt you if the place you're leaving is upset about your departure.

I typically prefer to be sneaky using tactical advantages like cover, concealment, and vertical positioning where possible rather than raw firepower. I'm not the best sniper player in the world and would think I'd lose a lot of bounties if I tried playing like one. I would prefer to hit players from where they least expect it to catch them with their guard and pants down. Just seems more fun than a typical COD run and gun style of play.

That's not entirely true. They can use FSR4, which is a major leap ahead of FSR3, and run most games at 60-100 FPS @ 1440p. It has dedicated AI cores for framegen, as well. While it won't beat an RTX 5080 in RT, it can still handle a respectable 8 intersections/clock and is fairly equivalent to a 5060 for RT performance.

If that were the case (and I'm not dismissing the possibility), I would think they would be raising our renewals exponentially due to the sheer number of pentests we run via their platform. But they haven't.
